Summary

The CTE Secretary provides administrative and data support to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department. This position serves as a point of contact for schools, staff, and community partners and helps ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the CTE office.

Description

Classified position is opened to "In-House" personnel. Application must be submitted no later than Friday, August 28, 2026. Administrative Assistant-Secondary 8.0 hours per day / 195 days per year / Salary Grade 7-$20.98 per hour (Support Salary Table 2026-27) [Promotions result in a 5% minimum increase]

Primary Responsibilities:

- Provide general secretarial and administrative support to CTE administrators and staff.
- Serve as receptionist for the CTE office, including answering phones, greeting visitors, responding to questions, and directing inquiries.
- Process extra duty payroll for staff, post receipts for department expenditures, and purchase office supplies and promotional materials.
- Maintain accurate department records, files, calendars, directories, agendas, minutes, and correspondence.
- Collect, organize, verify, and report CTE and Concurrent Enrollment (CE) data.
- Assist with CTE program reporting, student enrollment information, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, events, and other department activities.
- Communicate and collaborate with school secretaries, counselors, teachers, administrators, district departments, and outside partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the CTE Department.
