Align your credentials to dialysis center requirements
DaVita Support Associates often work directly in kidney care centers, so certifications in medical administration, phlebotomy, or patient services carry real weight. Confirm your credentials translate to U.S. standards before applying.
Target openings in high-vacancy DaVita markets
DaVita operates hundreds of dialysis centers across underserved regions, where Support Associate vacancies are harder to fill and sponsorship conversations tend to move faster. Prioritize locations in the South, Midwest, and rural areas when filtering openings.
Clarify OPT or CPT authorization early in screening
DaVita participates in E-Verify, so your work authorization must be confirmed before onboarding. If you're on F-1 OPT, bring your EAD and STEM extension eligibility documentation to your first recruiter conversation, not as an afterthought after an offer.
Understand the TN pathway if you qualify
Canadian and Mexican nationals in healthcare support roles may qualify for TN status under Medical/Allied Professional or Management Consultant categories. Confirm your specific Support Associate duties map to a qualifying TN category before assuming this route applies.
Ask HR about PERM sponsorship timelines at offer stage
DaVita sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, but PERM labor certification for support roles can take 12 to 18 months before a petition is even filed. Asking directly at the offer stage tells you whether DaVita's process is active or theoretical for your specific position.
Use Migrate Mate to filter DaVita roles by visa type
Not every Support Associate posting at DaVita is tied to an active sponsorship track. Use Migrate Mate to filter open positions by visa type so you're spending time on roles where the sponsorship pathway is already confirmed for your situation.

Find Support Associate at DaVita JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DaVita sponsor H-1B visas for Support Associates?
Yes, DaVita sponsors H-1B visas for Support Associate roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Healthcare administrative and clinical support functions can meet this threshold depending on the specific duties and degree requirements attached to the role. Confirm the specialty occupation classification with DaVita's HR team before accepting an offer, as not every Support Associate position will qualify automatically.
How do I apply for Support Associate jobs at DaVita?
You can apply directly through DaVita's careers portal or browse open Support Associate positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. DaVita's recruiting process for support roles typically involves a phone screen, a panel interview with center management, and a background and E-Verify check before an offer is extended. Having your work authorization documentation ready ahead of screening speeds up the process.
Which visa types does DaVita commonly use for Support Associate roles?
DaVita sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visas for Support Associates, and also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employees. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering support roles, while H-1B sponsorship is reserved for positions that meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria. TN is a faster option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare support categories.
What qualifications does DaVita look for in Support Associate candidates?
DaVita typically looks for candidates with a background in healthcare administration, patient services, or clinical support, often with at least a high school diploma and some post-secondary training or certification in a medical field. Familiarity with electronic health records, scheduling systems, and HIPAA compliance is regularly expected. Roles based in dialysis centers may also require or prefer candidates with phlebotomy or direct patient care experience.
How do I handle the H-1B cap timing when targeting DaVita?
The H-1B cap runs on a federal fiscal year cycle, with USCIS accepting registrations in March for an October 1 start date. If you're interviewing with DaVita outside that window, ask whether the role qualifies for cap-exempt filing through a nonprofit or government research affiliation, or whether DaVita will support a future cap-subject petition. Planning your job search timeline around the March registration window significantly improves your chances of securing sponsorship without a gap in authorization.
