Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Licensed Practical Nurse Jobs at DaVita Jobs
Get your NCLEX-PN and state license first
DaVita requires an active LPN license in the state where you'll work before any sponsorship conversation begins. Confirm your credential is valid and transferable, since dialysis units often hire for specific facility locations rather than nationally.
Target DaVita's dialysis center postings directly
DaVita staffs most LPN roles at individual dialysis centers, not corporate offices. Search by metro area rather than job title alone, since the same role can appear under different facility names across their clinic network.
Clarify sponsorship scope before your first interview
DaVita sponsors multiple visa categories for nursing roles, including H-1B and TN for eligible nationalities. Ask the recruiter early which pathways their team actively supports for LPN positions, since sponsorship handling varies by regional HR team.
Understand how TN status applies to LPNs
If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, the TN visa covers nursing professionals and avoids the H-1B lottery entirely. Confirm with DaVita's HR team whether your LPN credential satisfies the TN nursing professional classification before your offer is drafted.
Time your application around the H-1B cap cycle
If you need H-1B sponsorship, USCIS opens registration each March for October 1 start dates. Align your DaVita application timeline so you have an offer in hand before the registration window opens, giving your employer time to file correctly.
Use Migrate Mate to find open LPN roles at DaVita
Identifying which DaVita locations are actively hiring LPNs with visa sponsorship takes time to do manually. Migrate Mate filters sponsor-confirmed employers so you can focus your applications on facilities that have already committed to supporting international candidates.

Find Licensed Practical Nurse at DaVita JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DaVita sponsor H-1B visas for Licensed Practical Nurses?
Yes, DaVita does sponsor H-1B visas for Licensed Practical Nurses. Because LPN roles qualify as specialty occupations requiring a licensed clinical credential, they meet the H-1B eligibility threshold. You'll need an active state LPN license and a signed offer before DaVita can initiate the petition with USCIS.
How do I apply for Licensed Practical Nurse jobs at DaVita?
Apply through DaVita's careers portal, filtering by job title and location since most LPN openings are tied to specific dialysis centers. Migrate Mate also lists DaVita's open LPN positions with sponsorship context, which can help you prioritize locations actively hiring international candidates before you submit your application.
Which visa types does DaVita commonly use for Licensed Practical Nurses?
DaVita has sponsored H-1B visas, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, and TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in nursing roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are also used for nursing graduates completing clinical hours. The right pathway depends on your nationality, credentials, and how urgently you need work authorization.
What qualifications does DaVita expect from Licensed Practical Nurse candidates?
DaVita requires an active, unrestricted LPN license in the state of the position. Prior dialysis or nephrology experience is a strong advantage since DaVita's centers focus exclusively on kidney care. BLS certification is typically required at hire. Some locations prefer candidates with at least one year of acute care or IV therapy experience.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for LPN roles at DaVita?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa type. TN sponsorship for Canadian nationals can happen within days of a job offer. H-1B petitions follow USCIS's annual cap cycle, meaning your start date could be up to six months after your offer. EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification adds significantly more time, often one to two years before a visa number becomes available.
