Verify Your RN License Transfers Early
DaVita's Clinical Coordinator roles typically require an active U.S. RN license. Start the NCLEX licensure process and state board endorsement well before applying, since credential evaluation and exam scheduling can add months to your timeline.
Target DaVita's Dialysis-Specific Coordinator Openings
DaVita hires Clinical Coordinators almost exclusively for dialysis center operations, not general clinical settings. Filter your search to nephrology and outpatient dialysis postings to find roles where DaVita's sponsorship pathway is most consistently available.
Understand How OPT Bridges to H-1B at DaVita
If you're on F-1 OPT, DaVita can bring you on before your OPT expires and file your H-1B petition for the next cap season. Confirm with the recruiter that your center location has a designated HR contact familiar with the cap and October 1 start date requirements.
Ask About PERM Timing During Offer Negotiations
For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, PERM labor certification must be filed after you start. Ask DaVita's immigration team during the offer stage which category they typically file for Clinical Coordinators so you can plan your priority date realistically.
Browse Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Clinical Coordinator openings at DaVita filtered by visa sponsorship type. This saves time identifying which postings are at centers actively hiring sponsored candidates versus locations with current hiring freezes.
Prepare a Specialty Occupation Summary for H-1B
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for clinical roles heavily. Work with DaVita's immigration counsel to document that the Clinical Coordinator position requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in nursing or a directly related field, distinguishing it from general nursing roles.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does DaVita sponsor H-1B visas for Clinical Coordinators?
Yes, DaVita sponsors H-1B visas for Clinical Coordinator roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given its requirement for a nursing degree and clinical licensure. DaVita works with immigration counsel to file petitions, but sponsorship availability can vary by location, so confirm directly with the recruiter assigned to your specific center opening.
How do I apply for Clinical Coordinator jobs at DaVita?
Apply directly through DaVita's careers portal or browse open roles on Migrate Mate, which filters by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, note in your application that you require sponsorship. DaVita's HR team routes sponsored candidates to a designated immigration contact after an initial screening, so getting through that first interview is the critical first step.
Which visa types does DaVita commonly use for Clinical Coordinator hires?
DaVita sponsors H-1B visas as the primary nonimmigrant work authorization for Clinical Coordinators. TN visa sponsorship is available for Canadian and Mexican nurses who meet the USMCA professional category requirements. For longer-term immigration, DaVita also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions through the PERM labor certification process, and accommodates F-1 OPT and CPT students in eligible training settings.
What qualifications does DaVita expect for Clinical Coordinator roles?
DaVita generally requires an active U.S. Registered Nurse license, with nephrology or dialysis experience strongly preferred. Clinical Coordinator candidates are typically expected to hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and some postings require Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) credentials. Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience in an outpatient or dialysis setting significantly strengthens your candidacy for sponsored positions.
How do I plan my timeline for DaVita's H-1B sponsorship process?
H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so your offer and supporting documents need to be finalized by late February or early March. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, you need sufficient time remaining to cover the gap between OPT expiration and the October start. USCIS premium processing is available and reduces the adjudication window to roughly 15 business days once the petition is filed.
