Verify Your NCLEX-PN Before Applying
PruittHealth requires state licensure before you start. Clear your NCLEX-PN and obtain an active LPN license in the state where you're targeting a facility, since license reciprocity timelines vary and can delay your start date.
Target Facilities in Active Hiring States
PruittHealth's footprint is concentrated in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Florida. Applying to facilities in those states increases your odds of landing a role where the hiring team already has a process for international candidates.
Understand the EB-3 PERM Timeline Early
For LPN roles, EB-3 sponsorship typically requires PERM labor certification through DOL before USCIS can adjudicate your immigrant visa petition. That process takes 12 to 18 months before you're even petitioned, so align your expectations with that timeline from your first conversation with a recruiter.
Clarify TN Eligibility If You're Canadian or Mexican
LPN roles don't automatically qualify under TN's nurse category, which requires an RN credential. Confirm with PruittHealth's HR team whether a supporting role or credential upgrade pathway exists before pursuing TN as your primary option.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open LPN Roles at PruittHealth
PruittHealth posts LPN openings across dozens of facilities, and not all listings explicitly flag sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to filter for PruittHealth roles by visa type so you apply to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Ask Specifically About OPT Extension Support During Offer Negotiation
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm whether PruittHealth will support your OPT extension period and initiate PERM or EB-3 filing within your authorized window. Some long-term care employers have HR infrastructure for this, but you need it confirmed in writing before accepting an offer.

Find Licensed Practical Nurse at PruittHealth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does PruittHealth sponsor H-1B visas for Licensed Practical Nurses?
H-1B sponsorship is uncommon for LPN roles because the H-1B requires a position that normally demands a U.S. bachelor's degree, and most LPN positions are classified as requiring an associate degree or diploma. PruittHealth's sponsorship for LPNs is more commonly structured around EB-3 immigrant visa pathways or F-1 OPT, depending on your current status and credentials.
How do I apply for Licensed Practical Nurse jobs at PruittHealth?
PruittHealth posts LPN openings directly on its careers site, organized by facility and state. You can also browse open roles filtered by visa sponsorship availability on Migrate Mate. Before applying, confirm your LPN license is active or in process in the relevant state, since PruittHealth hires by facility location and licensure is non-negotiable at the offer stage.
Which visa types are commonly used for Licensed Practical Nurse roles at PruittHealth?
EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories are the most common pathways for international LPNs at PruittHealth, typically paired with PERM labor certification through DOL. F-1 OPT and CPT can bridge candidates into the role while longer-term sponsorship is initiated. TN is generally not applicable for LPN positions, which don't meet the credential threshold for the TN nurse classification.
What qualifications and experience does PruittHealth expect for LPN roles?
PruittHealth requires an active state LPN license and NCLEX-PN passage. Most facility postings prefer at least one year of clinical experience, particularly in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings. Strong documentation of patient assessment, wound care, and medication administration experience strengthens your application, especially if you're asking the company to invest in visa sponsorship.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for an LPN at PruittHealth?
For EB-3 sponsorship, the process begins with PERM labor certification through DOL, which takes roughly 12 to 18 months. USCIS then adjudicates the I-140 petition, and depending on your country of birth and visa backlog, final immigrant visa availability can add further time. F-1 OPT candidates can begin working immediately while this process runs concurrently, provided their OPT authorization period covers the timeline.
