Align your credentials to Deloitte's specialty occupation standard
Deloitte's H-1B filings for senior engineering roles require a clearly defined specialty occupation. Audit your resume to show direct alignment between your degree field and your engineering management scope, not just general leadership experience.
Target Deloitte's industry-aligned engineering practices
Deloitte hires Engineering Senior Managers into vertical practice areas like Government and Public Services, Financial Services, and Technology. Applying to a practice that matches your sector background significantly strengthens your fit and speeds internal routing.
Understand how Deloitte structures senior-level sponsorship decisions
At the Senior Manager level, sponsorship approval often involves both the hiring practice and Deloitte's internal immigration team. Raise your sponsorship need early in the recruiter conversation so the role can be flagged correctly before an offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active Engineering Senior Manager openings
Deloitte posts Senior Manager roles across multiple practice areas simultaneously, making it easy to miss relevant openings. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Engineering Senior Manager positions at Deloitte that explicitly support visa sponsorship.
Prepare for LCA prevailing wage requirements at the Senior Manager level
DOL prevailing wage determinations for Senior Manager roles are typically pegged to higher wage levels. Confirm your expected compensation aligns with the prevailing wage for your work location before the offer stage to avoid delays in LCA certification.
Account for H-1B cap timing if you're not already in status
If you're outside the U.S. or not currently in H-1B status, Deloitte can only file during the annual April cap season with an October 1 start date. Build your job search timeline around this window to avoid a gap between offer and authorization.

Find Engineering Senior Manager at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Senior Managers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Senior Manager roles. Sponsorship is handled through Deloitte's internal immigration team and typically requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Because these are senior-level positions with defined technical scope, they generally meet that threshold, but the specific practice area and job duties still factor into the determination.
How do I apply for Engineering Senior Manager jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal, where Engineering Senior Manager roles are listed by practice area and location. You can also browse visa-sponsoring openings at Deloitte through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles that support international candidates. When applying, tailor your application to the relevant practice, as Deloitte's engineering hiring is organized by industry vertical rather than a single engineering function.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Engineering Senior Manager roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for most Engineering Senior Manager roles, along with H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals and E-3 visas for Australian citizens. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Deloitte also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which typically begin after an employee has been in role for a defined period.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for an Engineering Senior Manager?
Deloitte's Engineering Senior Manager roles generally require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, along with substantial experience leading engineering programs or technology delivery in a consulting or client services environment. Many roles also expect prior experience managing cross-functional teams, overseeing project financials, and working directly with senior client stakeholders across regulated industries.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take after a Deloitte offer?
Timeline depends on visa type and whether you're currently in the U.S. For H-1B transfers from an existing employer, USCIS typically processes standard petitions within three to six months, with premium processing available in roughly two to three weeks. PERM-based Green Card filings, if pursued, run on a separate multi-year track. Deloitte's immigration team will walk you through expected timelines specific to your situation after an offer is made.
