INTRODUCTION
Our iOS mobile team is part of the Adobe Video organization, where we build video creation and editing experiences for storytellers across desktop, mobile, and web. We move fast, care deeply about craft—and we’re hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to help lead that work on iOS!
We want someone who will help define both what we build and how we build it. That includes establishing modern engineering practices and embracing AI‑assisted development to improve quality and speed. We’re looking for a manager who empowers their team to ship great iOS experiences while encouraging use of AI tools to move fast.
We think you’ll thrive here if you bring people leadership and technical fluency. You communicate clearly across disciplines. And you enjoy working through trade‑offs with engineers and product partners to deliver the best outcome for customers.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll lead, grow, and support a talented team of senior iOS engineers. Together, we build creative, user‑facing features—from early product and interaction design through execution and production quality. You’ll set technical and quality standards for the iOS organization. That means ensuring architectural coherence, maintainability, and performance across the codebase.
We also need someone who can coach engineers on effective use of AI‑assisted development tools and agentic workflows. You’ll help the team accelerate responsibly while maintaining rigorous standards for code quality, correctness, and security.
You’ll partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to shape product strategy. We want a collaborator who brings a clear technical and UX perspective—not just resourcing or delivery plans. You’ll guide the team in making thoughtful scope and priority decisions, balancing user impact, velocity, and long‑term technical health.
We believe great products come from safe‑to‑experiment cultures. You’ll create that environment: validating assumptions early, learning from real user feedback, and treating each release as a chance to improve. You’ll develop talent through regular feedback, mentorship, and career growth conversations. And you’ll represent our iOS team in org‑level planning, advocating for investment, technical excellence, and a user‑centered approach!

Experience managing and growing teams of senior engineers, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development.
-
Technical fluency in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and the iOS SDK. You can review, guide, and influence architectural decisions even when not coding daily.

Product instincts and UX sensibility—familiarity with Apple Human Interface Guidelines, a keen eye for interaction quality, and a feel for why details matter to users.
-
Comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces. You help teams move from unclear problem statements to crisp execution plans.
-
Experience using AI‑assisted development tools at a team level—setting expectations, workflows, and guardrails for AI‑generated output.
-
A clear, compelling communicator who translates between technical, product, and design perspectives.
-
An understanding of mobile video editing workflows—or the curiosity and drive to develop that understanding quickly.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Hands‑on experience using video editing applications, with an appreciation for creative users’ needs.

Tips for Finding Engineering Senior Manager Jobs at Adobe
Align your credentials to Adobe's engineering leadership framework
Adobe's Senior Manager roles require demonstrated ownership of large-scale engineering orgs, not just technical depth. Before applying, document your experience managing multi-team structures, cross-functional delivery, and engineering roadmaps that shipped at enterprise scale.
Target Adobe's cloud product divisions strategically
Senior Manager openings concentrate in Creative Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Document Cloud engineering. Researching which division is actively scaling helps you prioritize applications and tailor your resume to the specific product domain and tech stack they're hiring for.
Understand how H-1B timing affects your start date
If you need a new H-1B cap-subject petition, Adobe's offer must account for the April lottery and October 1 start. Clarify your current status early in interviews so the recruiting team can scope your timeline accurately and avoid offer delays.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Adobe's active senior engineering openings
Migrate Mate's job board surfaces visa-sponsoring employers by role and function. Filter for Adobe's Engineering Senior Manager listings to track active openings, identify which teams are hiring, and monitor posting patterns across different product divisions.
Prepare for Adobe's PERM-readiness questions during negotiations
If you're targeting a Green Card through employment, Adobe's legal team will need to run PERM through DOL. Raise your immigration pathway preference before signing an offer so the sponsored position's job description is documented in a PERM-compatible way from the start.
Clarify E-3 or TN eligibility before the offer stage
Australian and Canadian or Mexican nationals can avoid the H-1B lottery entirely using E-3 or TN status. If you hold either citizenship, confirm your eligibility with Adobe's immigration counsel before the offer is structured, since these pathways have faster processing and no annual cap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Adobe sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Senior Managers?
Yes, Adobe sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Senior Manager roles. Adobe has an established immigration program and works with outside counsel to file petitions for qualifying candidates. If you're cap-subject, your petition would enter the April lottery with an October 1 start date. If you're transferring from an existing H-1B, Adobe can file a cap-exempt transfer and you can start sooner.
How do I apply for Engineering Senior Manager jobs at Adobe?
Applications go through Adobe's careers portal at adobe.com/careers. Senior Manager engineering roles often require a recruiter screen, a hiring manager conversation, and a multi-round loop covering leadership philosophy, technical scope, cross-functional influence, and past team outcomes. You can also browse Adobe's open Engineering Senior Manager listings filtered by visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which surfaces active roles without requiring you to hunt manually.
Which visa types does Adobe commonly sponsor for Engineering Senior Manager roles?
Adobe sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, and L-1 visas for engineering leadership roles, along with supporting F-1 OPT and STEM OPT extensions for candidates completing degree programs. For longer-term pathways, Adobe also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship. The right visa category depends on your citizenship, current status, and how quickly the role needs to be filled.
What qualifications does Adobe expect for Engineering Senior Manager candidates?
Adobe's Engineering Senior Manager roles typically require a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, combined with significant experience managing engineering teams at scale. You'll need a track record of leading multi-team organizations, shipping complex software products, and operating across functions like product, design, and data. Direct experience in SaaS or cloud platform environments is a strong differentiator.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take if I receive an offer from Adobe?
Timeline depends on your visa type. E-3 and TN cases can often be resolved within a few weeks. H-1B transfers for existing visa holders typically take one to three months without premium processing. Cap-subject H-1B petitions require waiting for the April lottery and an October 1 start. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship runs on a separate multi-year track that Adobe initiates after employment begins, subject to DOL processing timelines.
