Frame your architecture experience around Adobe's stack
Adobe hires Technical Architects who can bridge its Creative Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Document Cloud platforms. Tailor your resume to show hands-on experience with SaaS architecture, API integration, and enterprise-scale deployments rather than generic systems design credentials.
Verify your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
USCIS requires Technical Architect positions to demonstrate that a specific bachelor's degree field is a minimum requirement. Make sure your offer letter and Adobe's job description explicitly tie the role to a qualifying field like computer science or software engineering.
Ask about Adobe's LCA filing timeline early
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. For Technical Architect hires, Adobe typically routes this through its legal team, so confirm the internal lead time during offer negotiation to avoid gaps in your work authorization.
Target Adobe's solutions and platform architect postings specifically
Adobe posts Technical Architect roles under several titles across product lines. Search for Solution Architect, Platform Architect, and Technical Account Manager roles alongside the exact title, since these often share the same sponsorship pathway and hiring process at Adobe.
Use Migrate Mate to surface Adobe's open Technical Architect roles
Adobe's sponsored positions aren't always easy to filter on general job boards. Migrate Mate lets you browse Adobe's current Technical Architect openings specifically filtered by visa sponsorship type, so you can prioritize roles that align with your H-1B, E-3, or OPT status.
Time your application around H-1B cap deadlines if you're on OPT
If you're on F-1 OPT, Adobe's H-1B petition must be filed during the April cap season. Cap-exempt pathways don't apply here, so align your interview process so an offer is in hand before USCIS opens registration in March.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Adobe sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Architects?
Yes, Adobe sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Architect roles. Adobe is a cap-subject employer, so H-1B petitions for new hires go through the annual USCIS lottery, which opens registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Adobe can file an H-1B transfer, which isn't subject to the cap and can start immediately after USCIS receipt.
How do I apply for Technical Architect jobs at Adobe?
Applications go through Adobe's careers portal, but roles fill quickly and aren't always labeled consistently across product lines. Searching for titles like Solution Architect or Platform Architect alongside Technical Architect broadens your results. Migrate Mate filters Adobe's open positions by visa sponsorship type, which makes it easier to find roles that match your current work authorization status before applying directly.
Which visa types does Adobe commonly use for Technical Architect hires?
Adobe sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, and F-1 OPT for Technical Architect roles, along with Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term employees. Australian citizens are often routed to the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and a faster timeline than the H-1B. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN visa status, which can be obtained at the border with a job offer letter in hand.
What qualifications does Adobe expect for Technical Architect roles?
Adobe's Technical Architect postings typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field, plus substantial hands-on experience with enterprise software architecture. Familiarity with Adobe's Experience Cloud or Document Cloud platforms is a strong differentiator. USCIS also requires that the degree field directly align with the role's core duties, so a generalist degree without relevant technical depth can create complications during the H-1B petition review.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take once Adobe extends an offer?
For H-1B transfers or cap-exempt filings, USCIS standard processing runs three to five months, with premium processing available to reduce that to around 15 business days. For new H-1B hires subject to the cap, the earliest start date is October 1 of the filing year. E-3 visa processing at Australian consulates currently runs two to four weeks from appointment to passport return, making it the fastest path for eligible candidates.
