Target technical and design-focused roles
DLR Group's sponsorship activity is concentrated in specialized design and engineering disciplines. Focus your applications on roles requiring advanced technical expertise in architecture, structural engineering, or building systems, where the firm has the strongest sponsorship precedent.
Lead with your specialty occupation credentials
H-1B eligibility hinges on specialty occupation status. Make sure your resume and cover letter clearly connect your degree field to the specific role you're applying for, DLR Group's immigration filings reflect a pattern of sponsoring highly credentialed design professionals.
Understand DLR Group's integrated design model
DLR Group operates as a fully integrated firm across architecture, engineering, and interiors. Candidates who can work across disciplines or bridge multiple practice areas are well-positioned, since the firm values cross-functional technical depth that supports strong specialty occupation arguments.
Explore OPT and CPT as entry points
DLR Group has sponsored F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, making it a viable firm for current students and recent graduates. Pursuing an internship or OPT role is a practical way to establish a relationship with the firm before pursuing H-1B sponsorship.
Time your application around project cycles
Like most architecture and engineering firms, DLR Group's hiring tends to align with project pipeline and studio demand. Applying during active growth phases in their Construction and Real Estate practice areas improves your odds of finding an open role with sponsorship available.
Filter for verified sponsors before you apply
Not every job posting makes sponsorship status clear. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you confirm DLR Group has sponsored your visa type before investing time in the application process.
