Align Your Portfolio to DLR Group's Sectors
DLR Group organizes its project management work around specific verticals like K-12 education, justice, and sports facilities. Tailor your resume and portfolio to reflect direct experience in at least one of these sectors before applying.
Obtain Your PMP Before Submitting Applications
Senior PM roles in architecture and construction firms like DLR Group almost always list PMP certification as a requirement. Having it in hand before you apply removes a common reason international candidates get screened out early.
Verify Your OPT or CPT Authorization Covers Full-Time Work
DLR Group sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, but your authorization must cover full-time employment in a qualifying engineering or construction management role. Confirm your STEM OPT extension eligibility with your DSO before accepting any offer to avoid gaps.
Search DLR Group Openings Through Migrate Mate
DLR Group posts Senior Project Management roles across multiple regional offices. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for DLR Group positions that include visa sponsorship, so you're not manually cross-referencing job boards with sponsorship history.

Find Senior Project Management at DLR Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DLR Group sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
Yes, DLR Group sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Project Management roles. The process involves your employer filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and then submitting Form I-129 to USCIS. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions are tied to the annual lottery and an October 1 start date, you'll need to coordinate with DLR Group's HR team early in the calendar year to meet internal documentation deadlines.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at DLR Group?
Applications go through DLR Group's careers portal, where openings are listed by region and practice area. Because DLR Group operates across dozens of offices, the same Senior Project Management title can reflect very different project types depending on location. Migrate Mate lets you browse current DLR Group openings filtered for visa sponsorship eligibility, which helps you identify the most relevant positions without sorting through every listing manually.
Which visa types does DLR Group commonly use for Senior Project Management roles?
DLR Group supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for this function. H-1B is the most common long-term path for international project managers. F-1 OPT and CPT are typically used for candidates earlier in their career transitioning into senior roles, while TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under a recognized USMCA occupation category.
What qualifications does DLR Group expect for Senior Project Management positions?
DLR Group typically expects a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management, along with several years of direct project management experience on large-scale commercial or institutional projects. PMP certification is commonly listed as a requirement. Experience managing projects within DLR Group's core sectors, including education, healthcare, or civic facilities, strengthens your application considerably against other candidates.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Senior Project Management role at DLR Group?
Timeline depends on the visa type. For H-1B, the full cycle from lottery registration in March to work authorization starting October 1 spans roughly six to seven months, with USCIS premium processing available to speed adjudication once a petition is filed. For TN, approval can happen at a port of entry on the day you apply. OPT authorization is handled through your university DSO and USCIS, typically taking two to three months from application.
