About us:
Blockworks is an information platform that sits at the center of the crypto industry. We transform raw, complex data and facts into actionable research, trusted alpha-driven insights, and world-class events. The result is transparency and confidence. We enable investors, operators, and institutions to see past the noise, make better decisions, and drive the industry forward.
WHO YOU ARE:
You're a seasoned sales operator with a track record that speaks for itself. You've closed complex, multi-stakeholder deals, navigated long enterprise cycles, and built books of business from scratch. You understand how crypto companies and financial institutions think, what they're trying to solve, and how to position data infrastructure as a strategic asset — not a line item.
You bring conviction to every conversation. You're the person in the room who's done the homework, knows the product cold, and can earn a C-Suite Executive’s trust in the first thirty minutes. You're not waiting to be handed a territory or a playbook. You build both.
You operate with urgency and discipline. You know how to run a tight process, keep deals moving, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes — not activity for activity's sake. You're competitive, you want to win, and you understand that the best sellers are also the best listeners.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Every day will look a little different, but in general, you’ll do things like:
Drive New Business: You'll own a full sales cycle across a defined list of accounts — from prospecting and outreach to pitching, negotiating, and closing. You'll build your pipeline proactively, source your own opportunities, and develop a strong sense of which accounts are worth your time. Like other sellers, you’ll work across the full Blockworks product suite, with a greater focus on higher-tier and higher-potential accounts.
Create Custom Solutions: You'll develop proposals that span Blockworks' data, media, and events products. You'll take the time to understand what a partner is actually trying to achieve and put together something that genuinely moves the needle for them — not a generic deck.
Land and Expand: You'll build multi-threaded relationships inside your accounts. You close the first deal, then go wider and deeper — bringing in more business lines, bigger commitments, and longer partnerships. Your account base will be more concentrated in higher-tier clients, including leading crypto protocols, institutional players, and larger organizations entering the space.
Work with Marquee Partners: Your counterparts are CMOs, heads of growth, VPs of marketing, and founders at tier-1 crypto protocols, financial institutions, and Fortune 500 brands entering the space. You operate comfortably at that level. While deal types are consistent across the team, these accounts often involve more stakeholders, longer sales cycles, and broader partnership scopes.
Stay on Top of the Industry: You'll track what's happening in crypto closely enough that it becomes a natural part of how you sell — not background reading you do once a month. Emerging narratives, new protocols, capital flows — you use all of it to get into conversations earlier and sharper. You’ll lead more advanced conversations around Blockworks’ data product, helping clients understand how it fits into their workflows across research, trading, and strategy teams.
Represent Blockworks IRL: You'll attend key industry events, meet partners in person, and use those moments to accelerate relationships and create pipeline that doesn't come from cold outreach.
Operate with Discipline: You'll log everything in the CRM, forecast accurately, and manage your pipeline with rigor. You understand that discipline in process is what separates reps who have good months from reps who have good years. Deals in this role will often be larger in size, typically in the ~$100k–$250k+ range depending on scope and structure.
Raise the Bar Internally: You’ll play an active role in mentoring other sellers, sharing what’s working, and helping raise the level of the team. Success in this role goes beyond your own number.
Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE BEFORE:
You've spent at least five years in a closing sales role — ideally in crypto, SaaS, or emerging tech. You've consistently exceeded quota and have the receipts to prove it. You've closed seven-figure enterprise deals and can walk through those deals in detail: who you sold to, how you built the case, how you got it done.
You've managed your own book of business with accountability and creativity. You know how to work a long cycle without losing momentum and how to accelerate one when timing is right. You've built real relationships — not just transactional ones — with senior stakeholders who would pick up the phone if you called today.
IT’D BE GREAT IF YOU’VE DONE THIS:
Have sold data or SaaS products alongside partnerships that span media, events, and content. Have direct experience working with or selling into DeFi protocols, crypto exchanges, or institutional digital asset teams. Are already using AI to research accounts, draft outreach, and move faster. Have taken on informal leadership — mentoring others, helping shape team process, or owning projects outside your direct quota responsibility.
SALARY, BENEFITS, & HOW WE WORK:
This is a full time exempt position with an expected salary of $120,000 year. OTE $240,000k

Map your degree to a specialty occupation
BlockWorks hires for editorial, research, and production roles in crypto media. Use O*NET to confirm your occupation requires a relevant bachelor's degree, journalism, communications, finance, or computer science all support strong specialty occupation arguments for these roles.
Request LCA details before signing anything
Ask the recruiter which DOL wage level BlockWorks intends to file at before you receive an offer letter. The LCA must certify a prevailing wage at or above your offered salary, and mismatches at this stage delay the entire filing.
Verify your Australian degree meets U.S. equivalency
BlockWorks's E-3 filings require your credential to satisfy USCIS's bachelor's equivalency standard. If you hold a three-year Australian degree, get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved service before your interview to avoid a specialty occupation challenge at the consulate.
Time your application around BlockWorks's hiring cycles
Digital media companies tend to hire ahead of content calendar resets and product launch periods. Applying in the months before a major coverage cycle gives your recruiter more runway to complete the LCA certification and gather supporting documentation before your consulate appointment.
Search verified E-3 filing history on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to check BlockWorks's E-3 Labor Condition Application history by role and location. Seeing which job titles have been filed for previously helps you frame your application around positions the company has already demonstrated it will sponsor.
Prepare for consulate questions on editorial independence
Consular officers at Sydney and Melbourne sometimes probe whether media roles involve sufficient specialization or function more as general content production. Bring documentation showing your role requires domain expertise, published work, editorial credentials, or technical knowledge specific to blockchain or financial journalism.
BlockWorks E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does BlockWorks sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, BlockWorks sponsors E-3 visas for qualifying Australian professionals. The company operates in the crypto and blockchain media space, which means roles in editorial, research, and content production are the most common pathways. Your offer must be for a specialty occupation and your degree must directly relate to the role.
Which roles and departments at BlockWorks typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at BlockWorks is most common in editorial and journalism roles, research and analysis positions covering digital assets, and production or multimedia roles tied to specific subject-matter expertise. General operations or entry-level content roles without a clear degree requirement are less likely to qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards.
How do I start the E-3 application process at BlockWorks?
The process begins with BlockWorks filing a Labor Condition Application with DOL for your specific role and location. Once the LCA is certified, you take it to your consulate appointment in Australia along with your offer letter, DS-160, and degree documentation. USCIS is not involved, the E-3 is adjudicated at the consulate.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at BlockWorks?
LCA certification through DOL typically takes around seven business days. Consulate appointment availability in Sydney or Melbourne varies by season but generally runs two to six weeks out. End to end, most applicants complete the process within four to eight weeks of receiving a signed offer letter, assuming no requests for additional documentation.
What can I do to strengthen my E-3 application before approaching BlockWorks?
Before applying, confirm your occupation qualifies as a specialty occupation using O*NET and check which roles BlockWorks has historically filed E-3 LCAs for. Migrate Mate can show you that filing history by employer and job title, helping you target roles where BlockWorks has already demonstrated sponsorship willingness. A credential evaluation ready in advance also removes delays.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at BlockWorks?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
