Align your degree to the role
E-3 requires your degree field to directly match the job title. For CTC Trading Group roles, a finance, economics, or mathematics degree typically satisfies the specialty occupation requirement. A business administration degree alone may not be sufficient without supporting coursework or transcripts.
Research CTC's LCA filings first
Before applying, search DOL's OFLC Wage Search to see which job titles CTC Trading Group has certified. This tells you which roles the firm has filed for before and helps you tailor your application to positions with a clear E-3 sponsorship precedent at this employer.
Verify your role's prevailing wage tier
Asset management firms must pay E-3 holders at or above the DOL prevailing wage for the occupation and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the wage level for your specific title in CTC's city, so you can negotiate an offer that clears the compliance threshold.
Get your offer letter before the visa appointment
CTC Trading Group must provide a certified LCA before you can apply for your E-3 at a U.S. consulate. Confirm with the hiring team that the LCA process is underway, and don't book your visa appointment until you have the certified LCA in hand.
Use Migrate Mate to handle the filing
E-3 filings for investment roles involve LCA compliance and specialty occupation documentation that vary by job title. Migrate Mate assigns a dedicated E-3 visa expert to manage the process at a flat fee, so nothing falls through between the offer and your consulate appointment.
Prepare for specialty occupation scrutiny
Consular officers sometimes question whether trading or analyst roles qualify as specialty occupations. Bring your degree transcripts, an O*NET occupation profile for your job title, and a detailed employer support letter explaining why the role requires your specific degree field.
Chicago Trading Company E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does CTC Trading Group sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, CTC Trading Group sponsors E-3 visas for Australian professionals in investment and asset management. The firm has filed E-3 Labor Condition Applications through DOL, primarily for roles in trading, financial analysis, and portfolio management. You'll need a qualifying specialty occupation and a relevant degree to be eligible.
Which roles at CTC Trading Group typically receive E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at CTC Trading Group is most common in roles that require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field, such as financial analyst, portfolio analyst, trading associate, and quantitative researcher. Roles with a clear degree requirement in finance, economics, or mathematics are the strongest candidates for specialty occupation approval.
How do I apply for an E-3 visa through CTC Trading Group?
After receiving a job offer, CTC Trading Group files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. Once certified, you take the LCA to your U.S. consulate appointment in Australia, along with your DS-160, passport, degree transcripts, and a support letter from the employer. USCIS is not involved in the E-3 process for consular applicants.
How long does the E-3 process take at CTC Trading Group?
DOL typically certifies the LCA within seven business days of submission. From there, consulate appointment wait times in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth vary by season. Most applicants complete the full process, from offer to visa stamp, within four to six weeks, though administrative processing can extend that timeline.
How do I find open E-3 jobs at CTC Trading Group?
Migrate Mate lists employers with verified E-3 LCA filing history, including CTC Trading Group, so you can search for open roles and filter by visa type. You can also apply directly through CTC's careers page and flag your E-3 eligibility in your cover letter to surface the right contact within their HR or compliance team.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Ctc Trading Group?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
