We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what鈥檚 next.
THE TEAM
The Cue Sheets and Music Administration team is part of Netflix鈥檚 Music Business & Legal organization within the Data, Tech, and Rights division. We are responsible for tracking and managing all music used across Netflix content globally, ensuring accurate cue sheet reporting and compliance with CMO obligations. We partner closely with productions, internal stakeholders, and our publishing administrator to support cue sheet creation and delivery and enable timely royalty distribution. Our team maintains high-quality music data while overseeing the administration and continued growth of Netflix鈥檚 music catalog.
THE ROLE
In this unique and exciting role, you will be responsible for vital components of our music cue sheet and music administration processes, and will have visibility into all facets of our music business. As a cue sheet expert, you know the exact process of using music in a production and understand the significance of synchronization licenses, publishing splits, IPI numbers, and PRO information. You have mastered the art of cue sheet preparation and review, and in your view, there is no cue sheet data that is too small or insignificant. You know how to review a composer agreement and synchronization license for pertinent cue sheet information and are effective in aligning music supervisors, music editors, and other production personnel to deliver proper cue sheet data. Your thorough understanding of why cue sheets matter results in a keen attention to detail and accuracy that you impart to everyone involved in the music production process. You are familiar and have achieved mastery of at least one of the many cue sheet tools currently available. In this role, you will be encouraged to actively contribute to cue sheet innovation as an ongoing goal, helping shape our global cue sheet administration and delivery strategy. This work requires a thoughtful, adaptable approach, as it involves driving alignment across regions, educating partners on evolving standards, and influencing adoption through clear, persuasive communication.
In this Role You Will:
- Support and guide production partners on cue sheet reporting best practices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Provide expertise on territory-specific reporting requirements, helping partners navigate regional nuances and drive global compliance through clear, flexible, and persuasive communication.
- Review, process, and distribute cue sheets for our compelling Originals programming, including revising and, if needed, preparing cue sheets, as well as maintaining and improving our cue sheet database.
- Partner closely with our publishing administrator to support the registration, administration, and ongoing management of Netflix鈥檚 global music catalog, including addressing claims, resolving inquiries, and ensuring accurate data for rights.
- Participate in other projects specific to Netflix's music needs.
About You:
- You will have at least 3-5 years of experience with music cue sheets, preferably in the music department at a film/television studio, television network, or production company. Knowledge of the music clearance process for recordings and publishing is a plus.
- Possess mastery of one or more cue sheet tools (RapidCue, Cuetrak, Soundmouse) with an ability and desire to work with other cue sheet platforms and formats.
- Unparalleled organizational skills and unwavering attention to detail.
- A clear, concise communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably on multiple projects under tight timeframes in a fast-paced production environment.
- Highly collaborative and curious, with the ability to be fluid and respond positively to change and new ideas.
- Ability to pivot quickly and be resourceful, think practically, and be solution-oriented.
- Have curiosity and eagerness to tackle additional projects as needed, and tackle matters outside our area of expertise.
- Tech-savvy individual proficient in Gmail and Google Suite with a strong sense of how cloud-based document and database systems are used in a modern business environment.

Target roles requiring specialized technical depth
Netflix's E-3 sponsorship tends to concentrate in engineering, machine learning, and data-intensive roles where a directly related degree is straightforward to establish. Generic business or operations roles are harder to qualify under the specialty occupation standard.
Verify your degree field aligns precisely
The E-3 requires your degree to match the specific role, not just the industry. A software engineering position needs a computer science or software engineering credential, not a general IT degree. Check the O*NET occupation profile for your target role before applying.
Confirm Netflix's E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
Netflix must be enrolled in E-Verify to legally employ E-3 holders. Ask your recruiter or HR contact to confirm enrollment status during the offer stage, not after you've resigned from your current position.
Use Migrate Mate to check Netflix's LCA filing history
Before your first interview, use Migrate Mate to review Netflix's Labor Condition Application history by role and location. This tells you which job titles Netflix has filed for previously and what wage levels it has certified, giving you grounded salary expectations.
Request LCA certification before booking your consulate appointment
Netflix's immigration team files the LCA with DOL before you can schedule your visa interview. DOL certifies LCAs within seven business days under standard processing. Don't book your Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth appointment until you have the certified LCA in hand.
Prepare for content-specific role questions at your interview
Consular officers assess whether your role genuinely requires your degree. For Netflix roles in content technology, localization engineering, or studio operations, practice explaining how your academic background directly underpins your day-to-day responsibilities in terms a non-technical officer can evaluate.
Netflix E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Netflix sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Netflix sponsors E-3 visas for eligible Australian nationals. Sponsorship is concentrated in specialty occupation roles across engineering, data science, machine learning, and content technology. Not every open role will qualify, so confirming that the specific position meets the specialty occupation definition before applying is the right first step.
Which Netflix departments typically offer E-3 sponsorship?
Engineering, product, data science, and content technology teams at Netflix are the most consistent sources of E-3-eligible roles. These departments require degree-level qualifications in directly related fields, which satisfies the specialty occupation standard. Creative and operational roles can qualify but require a stronger alignment between the job duties and your degree field.
How do I navigate the E-3 application process at Netflix?
Once Netflix extends an offer, its immigration team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL. After LCA certification, you complete the DS-160, pay the MRV fee, and attend a consulate interview in Australia. Netflix's HR or an assigned immigration vendor typically coordinates the LCA and provides the supporting documents you'll need for the interview packet.
How long does E-3 sponsorship take at Netflix?
The LCA stage takes up to seven business days for DOL certification. Consulate appointment availability in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth varies by season and can range from a few weeks to several months. The visa itself is typically issued within a few business days of your interview if approved. Total time from offer to visa stamp is usually four to ten weeks.
How do I find E-3 jobs at Netflix and confirm sponsorship before applying?
Migrate Mate surfaces Netflix's Labor Condition Application history by role and location, so you can identify which job titles Netflix has previously sponsored for E-3 before submitting an application. This helps you prioritize roles with a documented filing track record and enter recruiter conversations with informed questions about the sponsorship process.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Netflix?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
