Wayfair’s Home Improvement and Cabinetry design team is seeking creative, driven, empathetic, and entrepreneurial design sales consultants to join one of our newest offerings. This virtual role will be instrumental in helping customers envision and create spaces they’ll love, offering recommendations aligned with their budget, style, and space needs. As part of our design team, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer experiences and shaping the way customers engage with Wayfair. Compensation: The pay is $24/hr + bonus. The average on target earnings for this role is $31/hr.
Schedule: Multiple shifts available. 9am–6pm in EST, CST, or MST. We offer Mon–Fri roles as well as schedules requiring one weekend day. Note: Shifts are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide Expertise: Leverage your home renovation and kitchen design expertise to help navigate our customers through their design needs and purchases, covering projects from bathroom, to laundry room, to office, to kitchen, and more.
- Guide the Purchase Process: Lead customers through the custom cabinetry and reno project purchasing process: functional 3D renderings, requesting samples from manufacturers, placing orders for the customer, and upselling compatible products.
- Create Functional Designs: Develop detailed, functional 3D kitchen renderings based on customer sketches, planning guides, or blueprints using 2020 Design Software. Create mood boards and floor plans for smaller projects to bring the customer’s vision to life.
- Meet a High Performance Bar: Meet or exceed your sales and customer satisfaction targets.
- Use Multiple Tools: Navigate through multiple software applications, 3rd party and proprietary tools to provide customers with recommendations for their budget, style and space as well as manage customer ordering and customers post order questions.
- Manage Time Efficiently: Prioritize customer experience while managing your time to meet project deadlines.

What You’ll Need (Required):
- Remote Technology Proficiency: Experience using technology to drive business results, pivot and ramp on new software or programs quickly.
- Cabinetry Sales & Home Renovation Experience: 3+ years of previous cabinetry sales & home reno design experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas in a fast paced and rapidly changing sales environment.
- Software Proficiency: 3+ years of experience using 2020 Design Live knowledge and experience for enhanced project visualization and streamlined design processes.
- Design Knowledge: Understanding of basic design principles, including spatial planning, fabric selection, interior design styles, and trends.
