Angel City FC seeks a Social Media Manager to elevate our social and community engagement across current and emerging platforms. Reporting to the Director of Social Content & Strategy, you will help lead the charge in platform strategy, innovation, and content creation. Your success will be measured by leveraging high-quality, impactful content that reflects our strong brand identity, while growing our community and driving consistent engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute the day-to-day social media strategy for Angel City FC.
- Manage and program content across platforms, including Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, BlueSky, and X.
- Stay informed about social media updates and trends, and maintain strong relationships with platform account leads.
- Partner with internal teams and the NWSL to share trends, updates, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain content calendars to ensure timely, consistent, and strategic posting.
- Collaborate with design and content teams to create engaging campaigns tailored to target audiences.
- Lead community engagement efforts, responding to audience comments and messages to foster connection and inclusivity.
- Use analytics to monitor performance, identify wins, and optimize future content strategies.
- Partner cross-functionally with community, creative, and revenue teams to support initiatives and highlight talent and community stories.
- Attendance for all home games.
- Travel as needed to attend events and games.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience managing social media across multiple platforms within the sports industry or a creative, scrappy, startup entertainment brand environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including travel during the soccer season.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong online portfolio that includes examples of work.
- Experience with social media analytics and leveraging data to inform strategy.

- Strong understanding of soccer, particularly the NWSL, including gameday events, statistics, and player highlights.

COMPENSATION:
In addition to the benefits above, this role's pay range is between $75,000 to $80,000.
