Align your portfolio with EPAM's delivery model
EPAM staffs Product Engineers on client-facing engagements, so highlight experience building software within cross-functional, agile teams. Projects demonstrating ownership across the full product lifecycle carry more weight than narrow feature work.
Start OPT paperwork before accepting an offer
If you're on F-1 status, your DSO needs several weeks to issue a new I-20 for OPT. Request authorization early so your start date aligns with EPAM's onboarding timeline and USCIS's 90-day pre-employment filing window.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Product Engineer roles
EPAM posts Product Engineer positions across multiple locations with varying sponsorship eligibility. Use Migrate Mate to surface only the roles that match your visa type, cutting through listings that exclude international candidates.
Clarify H-1B cap-exempt status during screening
EPAM is a cap-subject employer, meaning H-1B transfers are straightforward but new petitions depend on the annual lottery. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, confirm portability under AC21 before resigning.
Prepare degree equivalency documentation early
EPAM's Product Engineer roles require a bachelor's degree in a specialty occupation field. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization before your offer letter is finalized.

Find Product Engineer at EPAM Systems JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does EPAM Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Product Engineers?
Yes, EPAM Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Product Engineers. EPAM is a cap-subject employer, so new H-1B petitions require selection in the annual USCIS lottery, which opens each spring for an October 1 start date. Candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer can transfer to EPAM without waiting for the lottery.
Which visa types does EPAM Systems commonly use for Product Engineer roles?
EPAM supports several visa categories for Product Engineers, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, F-1 OPT and CPT for students in active programs, and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles. For longer-term sponsorship, EPAM also pursues EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does EPAM Systems expect for Product Engineer positions?
EPAM typically looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, paired with hands-on experience in product development within agile environments. Strong candidates demonstrate end-to-end ownership, familiarity with cloud platforms, and the ability to work directly with client stakeholders across software delivery lifecycles.
How do I apply for Product Engineer jobs at EPAM Systems?
You can browse open Product Engineer positions at EPAM Systems through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you only see listings relevant to your situation. Once you identify a role, applications go through EPAM's careers portal. The process typically includes a recruiter screen, technical assessments, and panel interviews before an offer is extended.
How do I time my H-1B filing if I receive an offer from EPAM Systems?
USCIS opens H-1B registration each March for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer outside that window, EPAM may bring you on under F-1 OPT or another authorized status while preparing a petition for the next cycle. Confirm your current status expiration date with your immigration contact at EPAM as soon as an offer is in discussion.
