About Fluidstack
At Fluidstack, we’re building the infrastructure for abundant intelligence. We partner with top AI labs, governments, and enterprises - including Mistral, Poolside, Black Forest Labs, Meta, and more - to unlock compute at the speed of light.
We’re working with urgency to make AGI a reality. As such, our team is highly motivated and committed to delivering world-class infrastructure. We treat our customers’ outcomes as our own, taking pride in the systems we build and the trust we earn. If you’re motivated by purpose, obsessed with excellence, and ready to work very hard to accelerate the future of intelligence, join us in building what's next.
About the Role
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) is a core member of Fluidstack’s Design and Engineering team. You will own the project management and program infrastructure across a growing portfolio of data center design and solution delivery programs, reporting directly to the Director of Design & Engineering.
This is an owner role. You will introduce a step change in how Fluidstack organizes and executes design and engineering work — driving structure, consistency, and accountability across internal teams, external consultants, and delivery partners. You will own the template and standard program, build the playbooks, and create the systems that let engineers focus on engineering.
Responsibilities
Program Structure & Delivery
- Own the end-to-end project management of a portfolio of concurrent data center design and solution delivery programs from initiation through construction-ready handoff.
- Build and maintain integrated master schedules across architectural, structural, MEP, civil, technology, and specialty design disciplines.
- Establish program governance: milestone gates, design review cadences, change control protocols, and decision logs that create accountability without creating overhead.
- Ensure nothing is unforeseen — identify risks, interdependencies, and blockers ahead of the team and resolve them before they become issues.
- Produce crisp portfolio-level status reporting for leadership: schedule health, risk register, open decisions, and escalation flags.
Template & Standards Program
- Own Fluidstack’s internal template program for design and engineering delivery — including project management playbooks, design review templates, consultant scopes, RFP frameworks, and meeting structures.
- Drive standardization across the portfolio so that every project starts from a proven foundation, not from scratch.
- Continuously improve templates based on lessons learned and team feedback; maintain version control and ensure adoption.
- Build and maintain a document control and deliverable tracking system that gives the team real-time visibility into the status of every design package.
Automation & Tooling
- Champion the use of automation, tooling, and digital workflows within the design and engineering domain to eliminate manual effort and reduce administrative friction.
- Identify repetitive processes across the project lifecycle and build systematic solutions — whether that is a structured template, a script, or a platform workflow.
- Evaluate and implement project management and design coordination platforms; drive adoption and configure tools to match how the team actually works.
- Act as the operational interface between design engineers and project tools — so engineers spend their time on technical work, not on tracking and reporting.
Design Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate design deliverable schedules across external consultants (architects, MEP engineers, civil, structural, specialty) and track against program milestones.
- Manage the consultant procurement and scoping process: develop RFPs, evaluate proposals, support contract negotiations, and onboard design teams to Fluidstack’s standards.
- Run design milestone reviews (Concept, SD, DD, CD): prepare agendas, track open items, drive resolution, and document decisions.
- Manage the RFI and design clarification process during early construction phases to maintain continuity between design and build.
- Coordinate between internal technical leads and external delivery teams to ensure design scope, budget, and schedule remain aligned.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary project management point of contact for design consultants, equipment vendors, and internal stakeholders across each program.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, value engineering sessions, and coordination meetings with real estate, construction, operations, and infrastructure teams.
- Manage long-lead equipment coordination and vendor submittals in alignment with design and procurement schedules.
- Keep stakeholders informed with structured, concise communications — the right information to the right people at the right cadence.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience managing complex technical projects with real design content — experience in data center, oil and gas, product manufacturing, industrial infrastructure, power, or large-scale construction is relevant.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams and managing external consultants through a full design lifecycle.
- Exceptional organizational skills — a natural system-builder who creates structure, anticipates problems, and drives clarity in ambiguous environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to produce clear, concise project documentation and executive-level status reports.
- Proficiency with project scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent) and experience implementing or improving PM workflows and tooling.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, owner/developer environment where roles are broad and initiative is expected.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data center, mission-critical, or hyperscale infrastructure development.
- Background in product manufacturing, process engineering, or technically complex production environments — where delivery rigor and design quality intersect.
- Experience with BIM and digital delivery environments (Autodesk ACC/BIM 360, Revit, Navisworks).
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Exposure to capital project financial management: budgeting, cost reporting, and change order management.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
- Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

Tailor your resume to infrastructure roles
Fluidstack's engineering work centers on distributed compute and GPU infrastructure. Frame your experience around systems-level work, cloud platforms, or high-throughput networking rather than generic software development to pass their technical screens.
Confirm your degree supports specialty occupation
E-3 eligibility requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning your degree field must directly relate to the job. A computer science or electrical engineering degree maps cleanly, but a broad business or science degree may need supporting documentation.
Raise E-3 sponsorship early in conversations
Bring up visa sponsorship once you have a recruiter's interest but before a formal offer stage. Fluidstack's engineering hiring moves quickly, and confirming their willingness to file an E-3 Labor Condition Application with the DOL before you're deep in interviews saves both sides time.
Understand the LCA timeline before you accept
Your employer must file and receive a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL before you can attend your consular interview. DOL processing typically takes seven business days, so factor that into your start date negotiation with the hiring team.
Browse open engineering roles on Migrate Mate
Fluidstack posts engineering positions across infrastructure and platform teams on a rolling basis. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for E-3-eligible roles at Fluidstack so you're only applying where visa sponsorship is already confirmed.
Prepare for technical assessment loops early
Fluidstack's engineering interviews typically include system design and low-level performance rounds. Having your technical preparation finished before your visa documents are in order means you're not rushing either process once an offer is on the table.

Does Fluidstack sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Fluidstack's confirmed sponsorship activity for engineering roles is on the E-3 visa, which is available exclusively to Australian citizens. If you're not Australian, the H-1B is the most common alternative for software and infrastructure engineers, but it requires entering the annual lottery run by USCIS, which selects registrations in March for an October 1 start date. Confirm directly with Fluidstack's recruiting team which visa types they're prepared to support before accepting an offer.
Which visa types are commonly used for Engineering roles at Fluidstack?
The E-3 visa is the documented sponsorship pathway for engineering roles at Fluidstack, covering Australian citizens in specialty occupations. For engineers from other countries, the H-1B is the standard route, though it involves a lottery. Candidates with extraordinary ability in their engineering field may also explore the O-1A, which has no lottery and no nationality restriction, though the evidentiary bar is higher.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Engineering roles at Fluidstack?
Fluidstack's engineering roles lean toward infrastructure, distributed systems, and AI compute, so hands-on experience with cloud platforms, GPU clusters, or high-performance networking is relevant. A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field is the baseline for E-3 eligibility, since the role must qualify as a specialty occupation. Senior roles typically expect prior experience designing or operating large-scale compute environments.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Fluidstack?
Start by browsing open engineering positions at Fluidstack on Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm E-3 eligibility before applying. Once you've identified a relevant role, apply directly through Fluidstack's careers page with a resume tailored to their infrastructure and compute focus. After an offer is extended, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and you complete your DS-160 and consular interview to receive the E-3 visa stamp.
How do I plan my timeline from offer to start date for an E-3 at Fluidstack?
Once Fluidstack extends an offer, the E-3 process runs roughly three to five weeks from start to finish in most cases. The DOL typically certifies a Labor Condition Application within seven business days. U.S. consulates in Australia currently schedule appointments within a few weeks, with passport return taking two to five business days after your interview. Build at least four weeks between your offer acceptance and proposed start date to avoid pressure on any single step.
