Frame your annotation experience precisely
Fluidstack's Data Contributor roles focus on AI training data, so your resume should highlight specific annotation tasks, labeling tools like Scale AI or Labelbox, and any domain expertise that made your labels more accurate than general contractors.
Verify the role qualifies as a specialty occupation
E-3 sponsorship requires your position to meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, meaning a bachelor's degree in a specific field must be a normal requirement. For Data Contributor roles, a degree in linguistics, computer science, or a related field strengthens your petition significantly.
Confirm Fluidstack will file an LCA before accepting
Before you commit to an offer, ask your hiring contact whether the company has already filed a Labor Condition Application with the DOL for this role. The LCA must be certified before your E-3 application moves forward, and delays here can push your start date.
Target open Data Contributor roles through Migrate Mate
Fluidstack posts Data Contributor openings actively, and you can filter specifically for E-3-sponsored positions on Migrate Mate. This saves time you'd otherwise spend cold-contacting companies that aren't set up to sponsor work visas.
Prepare documentation that supports a data-specific degree connection
Consular officers at your E-3 interview will want to see a clear link between your academic background and the Data Contributor role. Gather transcripts, course descriptions, and any certifications in data annotation, NLP, or machine learning to support that connection.
Plan your interview timing around consulate wait times
E-3 visa appointments in Australia have varied significantly across Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth depending on the time of year. Book your consulate appointment as soon as Fluidstack provides a certified LCA and offer letter, since administrative processing can add two to four weeks beyond your interview date.

Find Data Contributor at Fluidstack JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Fluidstack sponsor H-1B visas for Data Contributors?
Fluidstack's sponsorship activity for Data Contributor roles has been focused on the E-3 visa rather than the H-1B. The H-1B requires clearing an annual lottery with limited odds, while the E-3 is available year-round exclusively to Australian citizens. If you're Australian, the E-3 is the more direct and reliable path into a Data Contributor role at Fluidstack.
Which visa types are commonly used for Data Contributor roles at Fluidstack?
The E-3 visa is the primary sponsorship pathway Fluidstack has used for Data Contributors. It's available only to Australian citizens, requires a job offer for a specialty occupation, and is renewable in two-year increments without a cap on renewals. Candidates from other countries would typically need to explore H-1B or O-1 options, which involve separate processes and timelines.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Data Contributor roles at Fluidstack?
Fluidstack's Data Contributor positions generally involve AI training data tasks including annotation, labeling, and quality review. A bachelor's degree in linguistics, computer science, cognitive science, or a closely related field supports E-3 eligibility. Hands-on experience with annotation platforms, familiarity with data quality standards, and any domain expertise relevant to the datasets being labeled strengthen your application considerably.
How do I apply for Data Contributor jobs at Fluidstack?
You can browse open Data Contributor positions at Fluidstack that include E-3 visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which filters job listings specifically for visa-sponsored roles. Apply directly through Fluidstack's application portal with a resume that clearly connects your academic background to the data work involved. Once you receive an offer, Fluidstack will initiate the LCA filing with the DOL before your visa application proceeds.
How long does the E-3 visa process take for a Fluidstack Data Contributor role?
Once Fluidstack issues a signed offer letter and files the Labor Condition Application with the DOL, LCA certification typically takes seven to ten business days. You then schedule your consulate interview in Australia. Appointment availability at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth varies, and you should allow two to six weeks from interview to visa issuance, depending on whether administrative processing is triggered.
