Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Cloud Solutions Architect Jobs at Google Jobs
Earn Google Cloud certifications before applying
Google hiring teams for Solutions Architect roles filter heavily on GCP credentials. The Professional Cloud Architect certification signals you can operate at the level the role demands and reduces friction during internal leveling conversations that affect whether a role qualifies for sponsorship.
Target roles listed under specific Google business units
Google posts Cloud Solutions Architect openings across Google Cloud, Infrastructure, and Public Sector divisions. Roles tied to named enterprise verticals like financial services or healthcare move faster to offer because headcount is pre-approved, which shortens the gap between offer and visa filing.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for this role. If you're Australian or a Singapore or Chile national, confirm with the recruiter which category applies to you early, since H-1B1 and E-3 petitions bypass the lottery and can be filed on a rolling basis.
Understand Google's LCA filing obligations
Before your H-1B or E-3 petition is filed, Google must submit a Labor Condition Application to the DOL certifying your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the role's location. Knowing this step exists helps you flag delays and ask informed questions during onboarding.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified Google openings
Google posts Cloud Solutions Architect roles across multiple requisition systems, making it easy to miss active openings. Use Migrate Mate to surface Google positions confirmed to accept visa sponsorship, filtered specifically for this role type and relevant visa categories.
Prepare for technical architecture interviews that reflect your visa timeline
If you're on OPT or within a 60-day grace period, communicate your start date constraints clearly after receiving an offer. Google's legal team needs lead time to file, and premium processing through USCIS is available to compress the H-1B adjudication window when timelines are tight.

Find Cloud Solutions Architect at Google JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Solutions Architects?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Solutions Architect roles. Google's immigration team handles petition preparation and filing through USCIS after an offer is accepted. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, timing matters significantly since cap-subject petitions are only accepted once per year. Roles filled mid-year may require you to start in October after lottery selection.
Which visa types does Google sponsor for Cloud Solutions Architect roles?
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Cloud Solutions Architect positions. H-1B applies to most nationalities. H-1B1 is available to Singapore and Chile nationals and bypasses the lottery. E-3 is exclusive to Australian citizens and also avoids the lottery, making it a faster path for eligible candidates targeting these roles at Google.
What qualifications does Google expect for a Cloud Solutions Architect role?
Google typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, combined with hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure at scale. GCP certifications, particularly the Professional Cloud Architect credential, carry significant weight. Experience working with enterprise customers on migration or modernization projects is a common expectation at the senior level.
How do I apply for Cloud Solutions Architect jobs at Google?
You can search for open Cloud Solutions Architect roles directly on Google's careers site or use Migrate Mate to browse verified Google openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect GCP-specific project experience and enterprise customer outcomes. Google's hiring process for this role typically includes a recruiter screen, technical architecture interviews, and a business case or customer scenario round.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Google to sponsor my visa for this role?
If you need an H-1B and are cap-subject, registrations open in March for an October 1 start date, so an offer in late winter or spring gives Google enough time to prepare your petition. H-1B1 and E-3 petitions can be filed year-round with faster turnaround. If you're on OPT, confirm your expiration date with the recruiter so Google's legal team can assess whether premium processing through USCIS is needed to meet your start date.
