Target roles in Adobe's core engineering and product teams
Green Card sponsorship at Adobe is most consistent in software engineering, machine learning, and product management. These teams drive Adobe's flagship platforms and tend to have the highest volume of permanent residence filings relative to other departments.
Understand that Green Card sponsorship is employer-initiated
Adobe decides when to begin the Green Card process, typically after you've demonstrated performance on a nonimmigrant visa like H-1B or E-3. Asking about the timeline during offer negotiations is reasonable and expected in the technology industry.
Know which Green Card category Adobe typically uses
Most Adobe Green Card filings go through the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories, which require PERM labor certification. Understanding this process helps you ask informed questions and set realistic timeline expectations from day one.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Adobe Green Card roles
Not every Adobe job listing signals Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your application efforts on roles where permanent residence support is genuinely available.
Build tenure before expecting Green Card initiation
At large technology companies like Adobe, the Green Card process typically begins after an employee has proven themselves in their role. Focusing on performance and impact in your first year creates the conditions for sponsorship conversations to happen naturally.
Ask about Adobe's immigration support during the offer stage
Adobe works with experienced immigration counsel to manage its sponsorship program. When reviewing an offer, it's appropriate to ask whether the role is eligible for Green Card sponsorship and what the company's general approach to permanent residence timelines looks like.
Adobe Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Adobe sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Adobe sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. Adobe is one of the more active Green Card sponsors in the technology sector, with filings concentrated in technical and product roles. Sponsorship is employer-initiated and typically begins after an employee has established themselves on a qualifying nonimmigrant visa such as the H-1B visa or E-3 visa.
Which roles and departments at Adobe are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Adobe is most common in software engineering, machine learning, data science, and product management. These functions sit at the center of Adobe's core business and account for the majority of its permanent residence filings. Creative, marketing, and corporate roles are sponsored less frequently, though exceptions exist depending on the position.
How does the Green Card application process work at Adobe?
Adobe typically sponsors employees through the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories, which require the company to complete a PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor before filing an immigrant petition with USCIS. Adobe manages this process through its immigration legal team. Employees are generally kept informed at each stage, though timelines depend on government processing and your country of birth.
How long does the Green Card process take at Adobe?
The timeline varies significantly based on your country of birth. For most nationalities, the process from PERM filing to Green Card approval takes roughly two to four years. For applicants born in India or China, demand for employment-based visas far exceeds annual limits, which can extend the wait considerably. Adobe's immigration counsel can provide a clearer estimate based on your specific situation.
How do I find Adobe jobs that include Green Card sponsorship?
Standard job boards rarely confirm whether a specific role includes Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this use case, allowing you to browse Adobe openings and filter by verified sponsorship history. Targeting roles in Adobe's engineering and product organizations gives you the strongest chance of landing a position where permanent residence support is part of the package.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Adobe?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
