Match your credentials to PERM requirements early
Atlantic Health's Green Card filings go through PERM labor certification, which requires your foreign credentials to match the posted job's minimum requirements exactly. Get your nursing license, medical degree, or allied health certification evaluated by a USCIS-recognized credential evaluation service before you apply.
Target clinical roles with documented shortages
Healthcare occupations on the DOL Schedule A list, including registered nurses and physical therapists, bypass PERM labor certification entirely. If your specialty qualifies, Atlantic Health can file directly without the recruitment test, cutting months from your Green Card timeline.
Understand EB-2 versus EB-3 before your interview
Atlantic Health typically files EB-3 for staff-level clinical roles and EB-2 for positions requiring advanced degrees or specialized expertise. Knowing which category your role falls into tells you whether a National Interest Waiver self-petition could run parallel to employer-sponsored PERM, giving you a backup path.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsorship roles
Before targeting Atlantic Health specifically, confirm which departments have active Green Card filing history. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer and role type, so you can identify which Atlantic Health positions have a real sponsorship track record before you apply.
Negotiate Green Card sponsorship into your offer
Atlantic Health's HR and legal teams handle immigration case-by-case, not as a guaranteed benefit. Raise Green Card sponsorship during the offer stage, not after onboarding. Ask specifically whether the role has been used for prior Green Card filings and what the typical timeline to PERM initiation looks like.
Prepare for the prevailing wage step in PERM
DOL requires Atlantic Health to pay you the prevailing wage for your occupation and location before PERM certification. Cross-check your offered salary against the OFLC Wage Search for your specific job title and New Jersey county so you can flag any shortfall before the petition is filed.
Atlantic Health Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Atlantic Health sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Atlantic Health sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying clinical and allied health professionals. Sponsorship is typically offered for roles where there is a documented need, including nursing, physician, and specialized therapy positions. It's handled case-by-case through the employer's HR and immigration team, so you'll want to confirm sponsorship intent during the offer process rather than assuming it.
Which roles at Atlantic Health are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Clinical roles with persistent hiring demand, including registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians in specialty departments, are the most common recipients of Green Card sponsorship at Atlantic Health. Allied health and diagnostic imaging positions are also filed periodically. Administrative and non-clinical support roles rarely receive Green Card sponsorship through the PERM process.
How do I start the Green Card application process at Atlantic Health?
The process begins when Atlantic Health initiates PERM labor certification with DOL on your behalf, which requires the employer to conduct a formal recruitment test first. You'll need to have your foreign credentials verified and your immigration status confirmed as eligible to adjust. Raise the conversation with your hiring manager or HR during offer negotiations, as the process can't begin until the employer formally commits.
How long does the Green Card process take at Atlantic Health?
Timeline depends heavily on your nationality, the visa category filed, and USCIS processing backlogs. PERM labor certification with DOL currently takes several months. EB-3 cases for nationals from high-demand countries like India or China face multi-year priority date backlogs. Nurses and physical therapists filed under Schedule A skip PERM entirely, which shortens the overall timeline meaningfully.
How do I find Atlantic Health Green Card jobs before applying?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by employer Green Card filing history, so you can identify which Atlantic Health roles and departments have a documented track record of sponsorship. This lets you prioritize applications toward positions where sponsorship is genuinely available rather than spending time on roles where it's rarely offered. Pair this with direct outreach to Atlantic Health's talent acquisition team to confirm current sponsorship availability.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Atlantic Health?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
