INTRODUCTION
At Compass, our mission is to help everyone find their place in the world. Founded in 2012, we're revolutionizing the real estate industry with our end-to-end platform that empowers residential real estate agents to deliver exceptional service to seller and buyer clients.
Our Compass Integrated Services team powers Next, a brokerage productivity platform that streamlines operational workflows by providing staff with a clear, prioritized view of what needs to happen next. Cases and tasks adapt to the use case, from transaction coordination to welcoming and onboarding new agents. Next improves efficiency while enabling staff to deliver more consistent, high-value support to real estate professionals.
Our team is focused on improving visibility, consistency, and control in transaction execution. We are standardizing how work is created, tracked, and completed within the brokerage environment. Functionally, Next acts as an operational layer connecting people, tasks, and transaction data, enabling brokerages to manage processes more efficiently at scale. As part of Compass's broader broker and transaction tooling, we play a key role in simplifying operational complexity while improving productivity and consistency across distributed teams.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between your team and external stakeholders. Navigate complex dependencies across different business units, aligning your team's technical strategy with overall company objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Drive the operational health of your team's services. Establish best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and on-call rotations to ensure high availability of the Next platform.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of experience directly managing and leading high-performing engineering teams.

Target roles with a direct degree requirement
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship at Compass typically flows to positions where a specific degree is genuinely required. Clinical, data, and technical roles tend to be stronger candidates than generalist or administrative positions.
Bring up Green Card early in the process
Don't wait until an offer to ask about permanent residency support. Raising it during recruiter screening signals you're planning long-term, which healthcare employers like Compass tend to value in candidate conversations.
Understand the difference between EB-2 and EB-3
Compass files under both categories. EB-2 requires a role demanding an advanced degree; EB-3 covers bachelor's-level professionals. Knowing which applies to your background helps you frame your candidacy accurately with the hiring team.
Focus on departments with specialized hiring needs
Healthcare companies sponsor Green Cards most consistently in areas where talent is hard to find locally. At Compass, roles in clinical operations, health technology, and analytics are worth prioritizing when searching for sponsorship-eligible openings.
Use verified sponsorship data when searching
Sponsorship policies vary by role and team, even within one company. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, reducing time spent on applications where Green Card support is unlikely.
Prepare for PERM labor certification timelines
The Green Card process through Compass begins with PERM, a Department of Labor step that can take a year or more before USCIS even reviews the petition. Factor this into your timeline conversations with any potential employer in healthcare.
Compass Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Compass sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Compass sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. The company files under the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa categories, which cover professionals with advanced degrees and skilled workers respectively. Sponsorship is typically tied to specific roles where the company has a demonstrated need that cannot be filled locally.
Which roles at Compass are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Roles that require a specific professional degree and involve specialized knowledge tend to be the strongest candidates for Green Card sponsorship at Compass. This includes positions in clinical operations, health technology, data analytics, and corporate functions where the job duties clearly align with EB-2 or EB-3 classification criteria.
How does the Green Card application process work at Compass?
Compass initiates the process through PERM labor certification, where the Department of Labor verifies that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. Once certified, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. If your priority date is current, you can then file for adjustment of status or proceed through consular processing.
How long does it take to get a Green Card through Compass?
The full process typically spans several years from PERM filing to Green Card approval. PERM alone can take 12 to 18 months or longer depending on Department of Labor processing backlogs. After I-140 approval, wait times vary significantly by country of birth due to visa bulletin priority date queues, particularly for applicants born in India or China.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Compass?
Start by searching for Compass roles in healthcare operations, clinical services, and technology. Migrate Mate lists employers with verified Green Card sponsorship histories, so you can confirm Compass's track record before applying and focus your search on the departments most likely to support permanent residency. Asking directly about Green Card policy during recruiter outreach is also effective.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Compass?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
