Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of every event that has reshaped and redefined the financial services industry. This practice also has several Service Delivery Centers that are made up of high-performing US-based resources who work closely with our experienced client serving professionals to deliver project-based work and managed services to our US-based Financial Services clients. If you have a passion for rallying together to solve the most complex challenges in the financial services industry, come join our dynamic FSO team!
The Opportunity
Innovation and automation are at the heart of what we do every day. You must stay on the leading edge of technology and use it to create bespoke solutions to solve problems for our clients. Specifically, your mission will be to design, build, deploy and customize complex technical solutions to accelerate and streamline software application delivery and system integration projects.
Most of our projects are built in Java but you will also be exposed to different technologies including web (Angular, React, etc), other languages (.NET, python, etc), web/microservices and databases. A key part of innovation is using the right tool for the job so you’ll always have opportunity to learn and leverage new technology as it comes out such as machine learning, natural language processing (NLP) and data analytics. Our clients look to us to solve their problems not just deploy software they could do themselves so this means you’ll be expected to build custom frameworks, tools and utilities such as custom automation drivers, JSON and XML parsers, integrations between tools and extend existing frameworks to provide new, cutting edge technologies.
Most of our work is specifically aimed at accelerating and enhancing software testing. Manual testing can be inefficient and many of today’s complex systems and technologies can’t be tested manually. Even traditional automated testing is outdated so it’s our job to build new tools and technology to do it better.
Your Key Responsibilities
Everything you’ll do will come back to providing exceptional testing subject matter expertise and solving complex problems that make a difference for our clients. Colleagues and clients from a diverse array of backgrounds will look to you first for answers, so you’ll be a high-profile contact when it comes to resolving complex issues. Map your role to the right EB category
EY files Green Cards under both EB-2 and EB-3 depending on the role's degree requirements and wage level. Audit and assurance roles often qualify under EB-3, while advisory or specialized tax positions may support an EB-2 filing. Confirm with your assigned immigration counsel which category applies to your specific position.
Understand how PERM shapes your timeline
EY's Green Card process typically starts with PERM labor certification, where DOL verifies no qualified U.S. worker is available for your role. Recruitment must follow strict DOL rules, and any documentation gap can trigger an audit. Expect the PERM stage alone to take several months before USCIS even sees your petition.
Build your credential file before you need it
EY's immigration team will need your original degree transcripts, a credential evaluation for non-U.S. degrees, and employment verification letters from prior employers. Gathering these early matters because foreign transcripts and evaluation reports can take weeks to obtain, and delays on your end can push back the PERM filing date.
Use OFLC Wage Search to benchmark your prevailing wage
Before PERM is filed, DOL sets a prevailing wage for your job title and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the wage level tied to your SOC code and EY office city. If your current salary falls below the prevailing wage determination, the filing will stall until EY adjusts the offered wage.
Target EY practice areas with consistent sponsorship history
EY's Tax and Assurance service lines have historically sponsored more Green Cards than its consulting or strategy arms. When targeting roles, prioritize positions in these practice areas and ask directly during interviews whether the specific team has sponsored Green Cards for that role in recent years.
Search EY's verified Green Card roles on Migrate Mate
Before applying, use Migrate Mate to filter EY's open roles by Green Card sponsorship history. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer and job type, so you can see which EY positions have supported sponsored filings and prioritize applications accordingly.
EY Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does EY sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, EY sponsors Green Cards for eligible employees, typically after a period of H-1B employment. Sponsorship is most common in Audit, Tax, and Advisory roles where the position requires a specialized degree. EY works with outside immigration counsel to manage PERM labor certification and the subsequent I-140 petition filing through USCIS.
Which EY departments or roles typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
EY's Tax and Assurance practice lines have the strongest sponsorship track record, particularly for roles in external audit, international tax, and financial services advisory. Technology and risk consulting positions are also sponsored but less consistently. Roles requiring a specific accounting or finance degree are better positioned for EB-2 or EB-3 eligibility than generalist management roles.
How do I start the Green Card process at EY?
The process typically begins after you've been on H-1B status with EY for at least a year. You'll work with EY's assigned immigration attorney, who initiates a prevailing wage determination with DOL, followed by the PERM recruitment process. Once PERM is certified, EY files an I-140 petition with USCIS on your behalf. Your role is to provide documents and respond promptly to requests.
How long does the EY Green Card process typically take?
The full process, from PERM filing to receiving your Green Card, commonly spans two to four years for applicants without a visa backlog. PERM itself can take six to twelve months, and USCIS I-140 processing adds more time. Applicants from countries with high demand, such as India or China, may face significantly longer waits due to per-country annual limits.
How do I find open Green Card roles at EY?
Migrate Mate lets you search EY's open positions filtered by Green Card sponsorship history, drawing on DOL Labor Condition Application data to show which roles have supported sponsored filings. This is more reliable than relying on job postings alone, since many listings don't specify Green Card sponsorship eligibility upfront. Targeting teams with a documented history improves your chances significantly.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at EY?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
