Job Roles at Garver
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Garver Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and technical roles first
Garver's Green Card sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines like civil, structural, and environmental engineering. Applying to roles in these areas gives you the strongest chance of being considered for Green Card support.
Demonstrate long-term commitment early
Consulting firms like Garver invest in Green Card sponsorship for employees they see as long-term contributors. Signal your intent to build a career at the firm, not just fulfill a visa requirement, starting from your first interview.
Understand the PERM process timeline
Green Card sponsorship at firms like Garver typically begins with PERM labor certification, which can take well over a year. Ask during the hiring process whether the role is eligible for Green Card sponsorship before accepting an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsorship roles
Not every Garver job listing will mention Green Card sponsorship directly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your applications on roles where sponsorship is actually on the table.
Build relationships within the firm before asking about sponsorship
At consulting firms like Garver, Green Card decisions often involve practice leaders, not just HR. Establishing trust with your team and demonstrating project value improves your chances of getting internal advocacy for sponsorship.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Garver sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Garver does sponsor Green Card visas for qualifying employees. Sponsorship is focused on technical and engineering professionals who have demonstrated value within the firm. Green Card support is not automatic with an offer, so it's worth confirming sponsorship eligibility directly during the hiring process for your specific role.
Which roles and departments at Garver are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Garver is most common in engineering disciplines, including civil, environmental, and structural engineering. Project managers and technical specialists embedded in long-term infrastructure or consulting projects also tend to be strong candidates. Roles requiring advanced degrees or specialized expertise are more likely to qualify under the EB-2 pathway.
How does the Green Card application process work at Garver?
Garver typically sponsors Green Cards through the employment-based PERM process. The employer first files a PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor to confirm no qualified U.S. workers were available for the role. After PERM approval, Garver files an I-140 immigrant petition, and you file for adjustment of status or consular processing once a visa number is available.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Garver?
The timeline depends on your country of birth and which EB category your role qualifies under. PERM labor certification alone can take one to two years. If you were born in India or China, priority date backlogs can extend the total wait significantly beyond that. Starting the conversation with your employer early and tracking your priority date with the Visa Bulletin is essential.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Garver that are open to sponsorship?
Job listings rarely specify Green Card sponsorship directly, which makes it hard to know where to focus your applications. Migrate Mate tracks verified sponsorship history by employer so you can identify Garver roles where sponsorship is a realistic possibility. From there, confirming sponsorship eligibility in the interview stage before committing to the process is the most practical approach.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Garver?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
