Job Roles at Hitachi America
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Hitachi America Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles with long-term operational value
Hitachi America is most likely to sponsor Green Cards for roles that are difficult to fill locally and central to distribution and wholesale operations, such as engineers, supply chain specialists, and technical managers with specialized expertise.
Start the conversation early in the hiring process
Green Card sponsorship requires significant lead time. Raise your sponsorship needs during initial interviews, not after an offer is made, so Hitachi's HR and legal teams can assess feasibility before the process moves forward.
Understand the PERM labor certification process
Most Green Card sponsorships at Hitachi America go through PERM, where the Department of Labor verifies no qualified U.S. workers are available. Knowing how PERM works helps you ask the right questions and set realistic timeline expectations.
Build a track record internally before requesting sponsorship
Hitachi America is more likely to sponsor Green Cards for employees who have demonstrated consistent performance. If you're on an H-1B, use that time to establish yourself and build a strong internal case for long-term sponsorship.
Use verified sponsorship data when searching for open roles
Not every job listing mentions Green Card sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, making it easier to identify active Hitachi America openings worth pursuing.
Align your background with Hitachi's distribution and wholesale needs
Hitachi America's core business demands professionals with specialized knowledge in distribution, logistics, engineering, or technology. Framing your skills around the company's operational needs strengthens your case for sponsorship approval.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hitachi America sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Hitachi America does sponsor Green Card visas. Sponsorship is typically reserved for specialized roles in engineering, operations, and technical functions that align with the company's distribution and wholesale business. Candidates already working at Hitachi on an H-1B are generally in the strongest position to be considered for Green Card sponsorship.
Which roles and departments at Hitachi America are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Hitachi America is most commonly associated with roles requiring specialized technical or engineering expertise, particularly in functions tied to distribution, wholesale operations, and supply chain management. Corporate and IT roles with niche skill requirements are also candidates. Positions that are harder to fill with locally available talent tend to have the strongest business case for sponsorship.
What is the Green Card application process like at Hitachi America?
Hitachi America typically sponsors Green Cards through the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories, which require the company to complete PERM labor certification before filing an I-140 immigrant petition. The process is managed through Hitachi's HR and outside immigration counsel. Your role is to provide documentation of your qualifications while the employer handles the majority of the legal filings.
How long does the Green Card process take at Hitachi America?
The total timeline depends on your country of birth and the visa category used. PERM labor certification alone can take many months, followed by the I-140 petition. For applicants from high-demand countries like India, priority date backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories can extend the overall wait by years. Starting early and maintaining valid work status throughout is essential.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Hitachi America that are open to sponsored candidates?
The clearest path is applying for roles where Hitachi America has an established pattern of sponsorship. Migrate Mate compiles verified Green Card sponsorship data so you can identify active openings at companies like Hitachi America with documented sponsorship history, rather than guessing from job descriptions alone. Prioritize roles in technical or specialized functions where sponsorship is most common.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Hitachi America?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
