Job Roles at Indiana University Health
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Indiana University Health Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target clinical and specialized roles
Indiana University Health's Green Card sponsorship activity is concentrated in clinical and specialized healthcare positions. Nurses, therapists, and diagnostic specialists in high-demand departments are the most likely candidates for employer-sponsored permanent residence filings.
Start the conversation early in the hiring process
Green Card sponsorship at healthcare systems like Indiana University Health involves lengthy PERM labor certification timelines. Raising sponsorship expectations before accepting an offer gives HR time to confirm the role qualifies and align legal resources accordingly.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring roles
Not every Indiana University Health listing leads to Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on roles where permanent residence support is genuinely available.
Build tenure before pushing for sponsorship
Healthcare employers, including Indiana University Health, are more willing to invest in Green Card filings for employees who have demonstrated performance and commitment. Starting on H-1B or F-1 OPT and building a track record significantly strengthens your case internally.
Engage HR and your department manager together
At large health systems, Green Card decisions involve both HR and department leadership. Having your direct manager advocate for the business need behind your role strengthens the internal case and can accelerate the PERM recruitment documentation process.

Does Indiana University Health sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Indiana University Health does sponsor Green Card visas. Sponsorship is most common for clinical and specialized healthcare professionals in roles that are consistently difficult to fill from the domestic labor market. The process typically follows the PERM labor certification route under EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa categories, and not every open role will automatically come with a Green Card offer.
Which roles and departments at Indiana University Health are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Indiana University Health is most common in clinical departments where qualified U.S. workers are in short supply, including nursing, physical and occupational therapy, medical imaging, and specialized physician or research roles. Administrative and non-clinical positions are less likely to qualify unless they require advanced or highly specialized credentials that are demonstrably scarce in the local labor market.
How do I apply for a Green Card through Indiana University Health?
The process begins with securing a qualifying full-time position and confirming with HR that the role is eligible for sponsorship. Indiana University Health then initiates PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor, documenting that no qualified U.S. worker was available for the role. Once PERM is certified, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition, and you pursue adjustment of status or consular processing depending on your current visa situation.
How long does the Green Card process take at Indiana University Health?
The timeline varies significantly depending on your country of birth and the visa category used. PERM labor certification alone can take anywhere from several months to over a year. For applicants born in India or China, priority date backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories can extend the overall timeline by years. Applicants born in other countries typically move through the process faster once PERM and the I-140 are approved.
How do I find Indiana University Health jobs that include Green Card sponsorship?
Not all Indiana University Health job postings explicitly state whether Green Card sponsorship is available, which makes it difficult to filter through general job boards. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this, surfacing roles from verified Green Card sponsors so you can identify Indiana University Health listings where permanent residence support is part of the offer. Focusing on high-demand clinical roles also improves your odds of sponsorship being available.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Indiana University Health?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
