Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
International SOS supports government medical contracts, so your credentials need to match the specific occupational requirements USCIS evaluates. Get foreign degrees assessed by a NACES-recognized credential evaluator before applying, since this directly affects whether you qualify for EB-2 or EB-3.
Understand which Green Card pathway fits your background
EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers professionals with a bachelor's degree. For clinical or consulting roles at International SOS, determine your category before negotiating sponsorship, because the PERM labor certification timeline differs significantly between pathways.
Request sponsorship commitment before accepting an offer
Ask explicitly during the offer stage whether International SOS will initiate PERM immediately or defer it. Some government services contractors tie Green Card filing to contract renewals or minimum tenure requirements, so clarify the internal policy before your start date.
Use Migrate Mate to verify International SOS's filing history
Search International SOS Government Medical Services on Migrate Mate to review their LCA and Green Card filing patterns by role and location. This tells you which job titles they've sponsored before, helping you target applications to teams with an established sponsorship track record.
Prepare your PERM documentation package early
DOL's PERM process requires detailed proof of your qualifications and the employer's recruitment efforts. Start collecting employment verification letters, degree transcripts, and professional licenses now. Gaps in documentation are the most common reason PERM applications stall or require additional evidence from USCIS.
Match your job title to DOL wage level classifications
International SOS roles in medical consulting often span multiple DOL wage levels depending on supervisory responsibility and specialized knowledge. Use the OFLC Wage Search to confirm the prevailing wage for your specific occupation and location before your employer files the PERM application.
International SOS Government Medical Services Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does International SOS Government Medical Services sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, International SOS Government Medical Services sponsors Green Card visas. The company files petitions under EB-2 and EB-3 categories for qualifying professionals in medical, healthcare consulting, and government services roles. Sponsorship is typically tied to specific contracts and roles, so confirming the company's policy during the hiring process is essential.
Which roles at International SOS are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at International SOS is most common in clinical, medical operations, and healthcare consulting positions that require specialized degrees or licensure. Roles supporting U.S. government contracts tend to have stronger sponsorship precedent because the employer must demonstrate the position meets specialty occupation or professional-level criteria under PERM and USCIS standards.
How does the Green Card application process work at International SOS?
The process typically begins with PERM labor certification through DOL, where the employer documents a formal recruitment effort. After PERM approval, International SOS files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth and the visa category, you may need to wait for a priority date to become current before adjusting status.
How long does the Green Card process take when sponsored by International SOS?
The timeline varies based on visa category, country of birth, and USCIS processing speeds. PERM alone can take six months to over a year, and I-140 adjudication adds additional time. Applicants born in countries with high demand face longer waits due to per-country visa backlogs. Starting the process early in your employment is strongly advisable.
How do I find Green Card jobs at International SOS that include sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you filter for International SOS roles by visa type and see historical Green Card filing data by job title and location. This helps you identify which positions the company has sponsored before, so you can prioritize applications to teams and roles where sponsorship is an established practice rather than negotiating it from scratch.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at International SOS Government Medical Services?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
