Target Corporate and Tech Roles
Green Card sponsorship at Jack in the Box is concentrated in corporate functions, including technology, finance, and operations. Frontline and restaurant management roles rarely lead to Green Card sponsorship, so focus your search on headquarters-based positions.
Confirm Sponsorship Intent Early
In the Food & Beverage industry, not every corporate role includes Green Card sponsorship by default. Ask directly during the recruiter screen whether the position includes permanent residency support, before investing time in the full interview process.
Understand the PERM Labor Certification Timeline
Green Card sponsorship at Jack in the Box typically starts with PERM labor certification, a Department of Labor process that can take well over a year before the I-140 petition is even filed. Plan your visa status accordingly to avoid gaps.
Use Migrate Mate to Verify Sponsorship History
Not every Food & Beverage company that mentions sponsorship follows through consistently. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you prioritize Jack in the Box roles with a documented track record.
Leverage F-1 OPT as a Starting Point
Jack in the Box sponsors F-1 OPT, which means corporate roles can serve as an entry point. If you perform well and move into a specialized position, you improve your chances of being considered for Green Card sponsorship down the line.
Align Your Skills With Specialty Occupation Standards
Green Card categories like EB-2 and EB-3 require demonstrating that your role requires specialized knowledge. Roles in IT, data analytics, supply chain, and finance at Jack in the Box are stronger candidates for Green Card sponsorship than generalist positions.
Jack in the Box Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jack in the Box sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Jack in the Box does sponsor Green Card visas, primarily for corporate and specialized roles at its headquarters. Sponsorship is not available for all positions, so it's important to confirm with the recruiter during the hiring process whether a specific role includes permanent residency support.
Which roles and departments at Jack in the Box typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Jack in the Box tends to be concentrated in technology, finance, data, and corporate operations roles rather than restaurant-level or general management positions. Candidates in roles that require a specific degree and specialized expertise, consistent with EB-2 or EB-3 standards, are the strongest candidates for sponsorship consideration.
How does the Green Card application process work at Jack in the Box?
The process typically begins with PERM labor certification, where Jack in the Box must demonstrate to the Department of Labor that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. After PERM approval, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition. Depending on your country of birth and visa category, you may then wait for a priority date to become current before filing for adjustment of status.
How long does it take to get a Green Card through Jack in the Box?
The timeline varies significantly based on the visa category and your country of birth. The PERM and I-140 stages alone can take one to two years or more. For applicants born in countries with high demand, the wait for a current priority date can extend the total timeline considerably. Starting early and maintaining valid status throughout is essential.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Jack in the Box?
Search Jack in the Box's careers page for corporate and technology roles, and filter for positions at its San Diego headquarters where sponsorship activity is highest. Migrate Mate also lists verified Green Card sponsor companies, including Jack in the Box, so you can browse open roles and confirm sponsorship history before applying, saving time in your job search.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Jack in the Box?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
