Target technical and engineering roles
Jedson Engineering's Green Card sponsorship is concentrated in engineering and technical consulting positions. Focus your application on roles that require specialized expertise, as these are the positions most likely to qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship.
Understand the EB-2 and EB-3 pathways
Jedson Engineering sponsors through both EB-2 and EB-3, so knowing which category fits your qualifications matters. EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers with a bachelor's degree and relevant experience.
Raise sponsorship early in the process
In consulting and professional services firms like Jedson Engineering, immigration decisions often involve HR and project leadership together. Asking about Green Card sponsorship during later interview rounds, once mutual interest is established, tends to get more productive responses.
Demonstrate long-term project commitment
Consulting firms invest in Green Card sponsorship when they see a long-term fit. Highlighting your ability to contribute to multi-year engineering projects signals stability and increases the likelihood Jedson Engineering views sponsorship as worthwhile.
Use verified sponsorship data when job searching
Not every job posting discloses sponsorship intentions upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your search on Jedson Engineering and similar firms with confirmed Green Card track records.
Prepare for the PERM labor certification process
Green Card sponsorship at companies like Jedson Engineering typically begins with PERM, where the employer must document recruitment efforts. Understanding this step helps you set realistic timeline expectations and have informed conversations with hiring managers about the process.
Jedson Engineering Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jedson Engineering sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Jedson Engineering sponsors Green Card visas. The company files Green Card petitions through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based preference categories, primarily for engineering and technical consulting professionals. Sponsorship is typically tied to specialized roles where the company has an ongoing need for the employee's expertise.
Which roles at Jedson Engineering are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Jedson Engineering is most common in engineering disciplines and technical consulting roles, reflecting the company's core business in consulting and professional services. Positions requiring specialized knowledge in areas like process, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering tend to be stronger candidates for sponsorship than generalist or entry-level roles.
How does the Green Card application process work at Jedson Engineering?
For most sponsored employees, the process begins with PERM labor certification, where Jedson Engineering documents that no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. Once PERM is approved, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf. The final step is either adjustment of status if you're already in the U.S., or consular processing abroad.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Jedson Engineering?
Timeline depends on your country of birth and the EB category your role qualifies for. The PERM and I-140 stages combined typically take one to two years. For applicants born in countries without significant visa backlogs, the full process can conclude within two to three years. Indian and Chinese nationals face substantially longer waits due to per-country annual limits.
How do I improve my chances of getting Green Card sponsorship at Jedson Engineering?
Position yourself for roles that align with Jedson Engineering's core engineering and consulting work, and demonstrate a clear long-term commitment to the company. Bringing up Green Card sponsorship after receiving an offer, rather than early in the interview process, is generally more effective. Migrate Mate can help you identify open roles at Jedson Engineering and other verified Green Card sponsors so you're targeting the right opportunities from the start.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Jedson Engineering?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
