Target technical and engineering roles specifically
Langan's Green Card sponsorship concentrates in engineering and environmental consulting positions. Roles in civil, geotechnical, environmental, and water resources disciplines are the most viable paths to permanent residence sponsorship within the firm.
Understand the PERM labor certification process
Green Card sponsorship at consulting firms like Langan typically begins with PERM labor certification. Familiarize yourself with the employer's obligations, prevailing wage requirements, and the recruitment documentation process before initiating the conversation with HR.
Establish tenure before requesting sponsorship
Consulting firms generally prefer to sponsor employees who have demonstrated performance over time. Building a track record at Langan before formally requesting Green Card sponsorship significantly improves your chances of receiving employer commitment.

Langan Engineering and Environmental Services Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Langan Engineering and Environmental Services sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Langan Engineering and Environmental Services does sponsor Green Card visas. The firm supports permanent residence pathways for qualifying employees, primarily in technical and engineering roles. Sponsorship is typically offered to established employees in disciplines central to Langan's consulting practice, such as civil, environmental, and geotechnical engineering.
Which roles and departments at Langan Engineering are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Langan is most commonly associated with technical engineering and environmental science positions. Roles in civil engineering, geotechnical services, environmental remediation, and water resources are the strongest candidates. Corporate and administrative positions are less frequently sponsored, as the firm's practice centers on licensed engineering and scientific disciplines.
How does the Green Card application process work at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services?
The process typically follows three stages: PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor, an I-140 immigrant petition filed with USCIS, and finally adjustment of status or consular processing. Langan's immigration legal team or an outside counsel generally manages the employer-side filings, while the employee provides supporting documentation throughout.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at a consulting firm like Langan?
The timeline depends on your country of birth and the employment-based category used. For EB-2 or EB-3 filings, the PERM and I-140 stages alone can take one to two years before priority date considerations. Applicants born in India or China may face significantly longer waits due to visa backlogs. Planning well in advance of your current visa expiration is essential.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services?
Start by checking Langan's careers page directly for open engineering and environmental roles. You can also use Migrate Mate, which aggregates verified sponsorship data so you can confirm Langan's Green Card history and browse current openings in one place. Focus your applications on technical positions in disciplines where Langan's sponsorship track record is strongest.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Langan Engineering and Environmental Services?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
