Job Roles at Mass General Brigham
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Mass General Brigham Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles with consistent sponsorship history
Clinical research, physician, and highly specialized technical positions at Mass General Brigham are most likely to come with Green Card sponsorship. Focus your search on departments with ongoing NIH-funded research or specialty clinical programs where international talent is routinely recruited.
Understand that sponsorship is employer-initiated
Mass General Brigham decides whether to sponsor Green Cards based on workforce need, not candidate preference. Raise the topic after receiving an offer, once the employer has already decided you are the right fit for the role.
Know which Green Card category likely applies to you
Most Mass General Brigham-sponsored candidates go through EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories. Physicians in underserved areas may qualify for the National Interest Waiver pathway, which removes the employer-sponsored requirement entirely and shortens the overall process.
Ask HR specifically about the PERM labor certification timeline
The PERM process, which precedes most EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card filings, can take a year or longer at large healthcare systems. Clarifying Mass General Brigham's internal process early helps you plan around priority date backlogs, especially if you are from India or China.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring roles
Not every Mass General Brigham job listing will state Green Card sponsorship upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify which roles and departments are worth pursuing before you invest time applying.
Align your application with Mass General Brigham's research mission
Candidates who demonstrate alignment with Mass General Brigham's academic and clinical research priorities are stronger sponsorship candidates. Highlight publications, grant involvement, or specialty training that directly supports the department's ongoing research agenda in your application materials.

Does Mass General Brigham sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Mass General Brigham sponsors Green Card visas for select positions. Sponsorship is most common in clinical medicine, biomedical research, and highly specialized technical roles where the organization has difficulty finding qualified U.S. workers. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every role and is determined on a case-by-case basis by the hiring department and HR.
Which roles and departments at Mass General Brigham are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Physicians, clinical researchers, scientists, and specialized allied health professionals are the most frequent recipients of Green Card sponsorship at Mass General Brigham. Departments with active NIH grants or subspecialty clinical programs, such as oncology, neurology, and cardiovascular research, tend to have the strongest sponsorship track records because their hiring needs regularly require international recruitment.
How do I start the Green Card process at Mass General Brigham?
The process typically begins after you have accepted an offer and HR confirms sponsorship eligibility for your role. Mass General Brigham's immigration team will then coordinate the appropriate pathway, most often PERM labor certification followed by an I-140 petition. You will work with an immigration attorney retained by the organization throughout the process.
How long does the Green Card process take at Mass General Brigham?
The timeline varies significantly depending on your nationality, visa category, and current USCIS processing speeds. The PERM labor certification stage alone can take a year or more. For applicants from India or China, priority date backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories can extend the total wait by several years. Physicians qualifying for the National Interest Waiver may see a faster path.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Mass General Brigham?
Start by searching Mass General Brigham's careers portal and filtering for roles in research-intensive or specialty clinical departments. Migrate Mate is also worth using, as it identifies verified Green Card sponsors and helps you distinguish which open positions have a real sponsorship history behind them, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship is unlikely.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Mass General Brigham?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
