Target roles with a clear degree requirement
NeoGenomics sponsors Green Cards most reliably for roles where a specific science or clinical degree is required, not just preferred. Laboratory scientists, bioinformaticians, and pathology specialists tend to fit the specialty occupation profile that supports EB-2 and EB-3 filings.
Understand which Green Card category applies to you
NeoGenomics files under both EB-2 and EB-3, depending on role and qualifications. EB-2 typically requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability. Knowing which category fits your background before your interview signals preparation and helps the conversation move faster.
Raise sponsorship during the offer stage, not after
In healthcare diagnostics hiring, Green Card discussions are most productive once an employer is committed to you. Bring it up after you have a verbal offer, framing it as a long-term retention question rather than an immediate burden on the company.
Emphasize specialized clinical or genomics expertise
NeoGenomics operates in a highly specialized field. Candidates with expertise in molecular pathology, next-generation sequencing, or oncology diagnostics are harder to replace, which strengthens the PERM labor market test that underpins most employer-sponsored Green Card filings.
Verify NeoGenomics's sponsorship history before applying
Not every open role at a sponsoring company comes with Green Card support. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on positions where Green Card sponsorship is an established practice.
Plan for a multi-year timeline in healthcare
Green Card processing at healthcare employers like NeoGenomics typically involves PERM labor certification, an I-140 petition, and then waiting on visa availability. Starting the conversation early and staying in a qualifying role throughout the process is essential to reaching permanent residence.
NeoGenomics Laboratories Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does NeoGenomics Laboratories sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, NeoGenomics Laboratories sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. The company files under the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories, primarily for roles in clinical laboratory science, genomics, bioinformatics, and oncology diagnostics. Sponsorship is typically initiated after a period of employment and requires the position to meet PERM labor certification criteria.
Which roles at NeoGenomics Laboratories are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Roles requiring specialized scientific or clinical credentials are the strongest candidates. Laboratory scientists, molecular pathologists, bioinformaticians, and clinical operations specialists in NeoGenomics's core oncology testing business tend to align well with EB-2 and EB-3 eligibility requirements. Positions where the job duties require a specific degree in a relevant field are better positioned for PERM approval.
How does the Green Card application process work at NeoGenomics Laboratories?
The process typically starts with PERM labor certification, where NeoGenomics must demonstrate through a supervised recruitment effort that no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. Once PERM is approved, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition. After I-140 approval, the employee waits for a visa number to become available before filing for adjustment of status.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at NeoGenomics Laboratories?
The full process from PERM filing to receiving a Green Card can take several years, depending on your country of birth and the visa category. PERM labor certification alone can take a year or more. Applicants born in India or China face significantly longer waits due to per-country backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories.
How do I find Green Card jobs at NeoGenomics Laboratories?
The most reliable approach is to search specifically for roles where NeoGenomics has a documented sponsorship history. Migrate Mate lists verified Green Card sponsors and filters open positions by sponsorship type, so you can confirm that roles at NeoGenomics are genuinely open to Green Card candidates before investing time in the application process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at NeoGenomics Laboratories?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
