Target roles with specialized skill requirements
Nike's Green Card sponsorships concentrate in areas where specialized expertise is hardest to source domestically, software engineering, data science, and advanced product design. Prioritizing these functions improves your odds of landing a role with Green Card support.
Understand Nike's internal sponsorship approval process
Green Card sponsorship at Nike typically requires sign-off beyond the hiring manager. Before accepting an offer, confirm whether the specific team and role budget support Green Card filings, not all departments move forward with PERM at the same pace.
Get your nonimmigrant status right first
Nike commonly sponsors H-1B visa or E-3 visa holders for Green Card. Establishing yourself in a sponsored nonimmigrant role first is the most reliable path, it signals Nike has already committed to your employment and makes Green Card sponsorship a natural next step.
Align your application to Nike's corporate and tech divisions
Nike's Beaverton headquarters and its digital and technology divisions see the highest concentration of Green Card activity. If your background fits global supply chain, e-commerce, or enterprise technology, those teams are worth prioritizing in your job search.
Use verified job listings to find the right opening
Not every Nike posting will lead to Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on roles where Nike has an active track record of supporting Green Card filings.
Be prepared for a multi-year PERM timeline
Green Card processing through PERM, I-140, and adjustment of status takes years, and wait times vary significantly by country of birth. Factor this into your offer negotiations and ask Nike's immigration team early about where your priority date is likely to land.
Nike Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Nike sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Nike sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. Sponsorship is most common in technical and specialized roles across engineering, data, product development, and supply chain. Not every position or department supports Green Card filings, so it's worth confirming sponsorship availability directly with Nike's HR or immigration team during the offer stage.
Which roles and departments at Nike are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Nike's Green Card sponsorships are concentrated in roles requiring specialized, hard-to-fill expertise. Software engineers, data scientists, product designers, and supply chain specialists in Nike's technology and corporate divisions see the most activity. Retail and entry-level positions are far less likely to come with Green Card support.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Nike?
Nike works with outside immigration counsel to manage PERM labor certification, I-140 immigrant petition filing, and adjustment of status or consular processing. Employees typically don't manage the paperwork directly, Nike's immigration team coordinates. Your role is to respond promptly to documentation requests and keep your employment details accurate throughout the process.
How long does the Green Card process take at Nike?
The timeline depends on your country of birth, visa category, and USCIS processing speeds. The PERM stage alone can take a year or more. Applicants born in countries with high demand, particularly India and China, face significantly longer waits due to per-country annual limits. Starting the process early in your employment at Nike matters.
How do I find Nike Green Card sponsorship jobs and improve my chances of getting sponsored?
Focus your search on Nike's technology, digital, and corporate divisions, where Green Card sponsorship is most active. Migrate Mate lets you filter for employers with verified Green Card sponsorship histories, so you can identify the right Nike roles rather than applying broadly and hoping. Once you're in the process, maintaining continuous employment in your sponsored role is critical.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Nike?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
