About Rebel Athletic
At Rebel Athletic, we don’t just make apparel. We create confidence, empower performance, and redefine what it means to wear your passion.
Since 2012, we’ve disrupted the industry as the fastest growing cheer and performance wear brand in the world. Recognized by global brand consultancy Eat Big Fish as a Challenger Brand to Watch, Rebel is known for bold design, innovation, and unmatched custom craftsmanship.
From couture-inspired uniforms to elevated athleisure, we blend high fashion with high function. Every piece is built for athletes and performers who want to stand out, not blend in.
Founded by Karen Aldridge, Rebel started as a bold idea and grew into a global movement that celebrates creativity, individuality, and empowerment.
Our business is rooted in a made-to-order team and group orders. We partner directly with teams, gyms, studios, and program owners to design and produce custom uniforms, costumes, and performance apparel at scale. This collaborative approach brings each program’s vision to life through high-quality, fully customized pieces built for both performance and impact.
At Rebel, we’re not just creating garments. We’re building a community of dreamers, doers, and disruptors who lead with purpose and aren’t afraid to shine.
Summary of Position
We are looking for driven, personable Outside Sales Representatives to grow our presence in the School Cheer market. In this role, you are the primary connection between Rebel and the programs in your territory. You will meet with customers in person, learn their needs, guide them through the process, and help them create something they’re excited to wear. You’ll work closely with internal teams who support design, production, and customer experience, but you are the relationship builder who keeps everything moving.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being out in the field, meeting new people, building relationships, and managing their own pace and performance. Success in this role comes from developing strong customer partnerships and growing your territory over time.
This is a full-time position that requires a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week. As a territory-based sales representative, you are expected to dedicate your time to managing customer relationships, prospecting, appointments, events, and territory development. Due to the nature of the role, workweeks may regularly exceed 40 hours during peak seasons, competitions, events, and customer deadlines.

This is a remote, territory-based role. Candidates must be located in or near one of these areas and able to travel locally for in-person meetings, events, and territory support:

- Spend a minimum of 50% of time in the field prospecting within your territory
- Cold call, visit, and engage schools, gyms, and programs daily
- Generate new leads through consistent outreach, networking, and event presence

- Maintain high activity levels across calls, visits, and follow-ups
Sales Execution and Closing
- Own the full sales cycle from first contact through close
- Conduct in-person presentations, fittings, and product demonstrations
- Drive urgency in the sales process and move opportunities forward
- Close business consistently and convert prospects into long-term customers

- Respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries, requests, and issues

- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate order execution and delivery timelines

- Establish strong visibility and credibility within your market
Performance and Accountability
- Meet or exceed sales targets consistently
- Maintain accurate pipeline, activity tracking, and reporting
- Operate with urgency, discipline, and a results-driven mindset
- Take accountability for both wins and losses within your territory
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of outside or territory sales experience
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Demonstrated experience in cold calling, prospecting, and closing
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory without supervision

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cheer, dance, athletics, or apparel
- Existing network within schools, gyms, or athletic programs
- Experience with event-based or seasonal sales cycles

Target design and technical roles first
Rebel Athletic's sponsorship activity tends to concentrate in specialized roles tied to product development and technical design. If your background aligns with apparel construction, pattern-making, or performance fabric technology, you're targeting the most sponsorship-receptive part of the business.
Understand which visas Rebel Athletic actually files
Rebel Athletic sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and Green Card pathways. Knowing this upfront lets you frame your eligibility clearly in your application and avoid roles where the company has no history of sponsoring your visa category.
Leverage OPT and CPT as an entry point
Rebel Athletic sponsors both F-1 OPT and CPT, which can serve as a foot in the door before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship. If you're a current student or recent graduate in fashion, design, or business, these pathways are worth exploring early.
Research their product lines before applying
Rebel Athletic operates in a niche market, competitive cheer and dance apparel. Demonstrating familiarity with their collections, materials, and target athlete demographic signals genuine interest and industry knowledge, which matters at a specialized brand with a tight-knit team.
Apply early in the hiring cycle for H-1B consideration
If you need H-1B sponsorship, timing is critical. USCIS registrations open in March, so employers need to identify candidates well before then. Start conversations with Rebel Athletic in Q4 or early Q1 to give yourself a realistic shot at the cap-subject filing window.
Find verified openings through Migrate Mate
Confirming a company's real sponsorship history before applying saves time. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors in fashion and apparel so you can filter specifically for roles at companies like Rebel Athletic with a documented track record of filing for international candidates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Rebel Athletic sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Rebel Athletic sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an established history of filing H-1B petitions for qualifying roles, typically in specialized positions that require a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, focus on roles in design, product development, or technical functions where the degree requirement is clearly defined and your qualifications align closely.
Which visa types does Rebel Athletic sponsor?
Rebel Athletic sponsors a range of visa types including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications. This breadth makes the company accessible to candidates at different immigration stages, from students on practical training to professionals seeking permanent residence.
How do I know if Rebel Athletic will sponsor my specific visa category?
The most reliable approach is to review the company's documented sponsorship history before applying and then confirm directly during the recruiting process. Rebel Athletic has sponsored multiple visa types, but not every role will qualify for every category. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified sponsorship data and filter for roles that match your visa situation before investing time in an application.
Which departments or roles at Rebel Athletic are most likely to be sponsored?
Rebel Athletic's sponsorship activity is most associated with specialized roles in apparel design, product development, and technical functions where a specific educational background is required. Generalist or administrative roles are less commonly sponsored. Candidates with expertise in fashion design, textile science, or supply chain operations within the apparel industry are best positioned to find sponsorship-eligible openings.
How do I time my application to Rebel Athletic for the best chance at H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date, which means employers need to select candidates well before that window. Reaching out to Rebel Athletic or applying to open roles between October and January gives you the best chance of being considered in time. Roles already in progress for the current cap year may not be able to accommodate late-stage candidates.
