WHY JOIN ALO?
Mindful movement. It's at the core of why we do what we do at ALO—it's our calling. Because mindful movement in the studio leads to better living. It changes who yogis are off the mat, making their lives and their communities better. That's the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.
Overview
Alo is looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing Technology to lead the team and platforms that power retention, personalization, and cross-channel customer journeys. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, data, and engineering, owning the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the marketing technology stack behind Customer 360, lifecycle orchestration, experimentation, and measurement.
You'll lead a team of martech engineers and marketing technologists, own the operationalization of customer data through a CDP and reverse ETL tooling into activation platforms such as Braze, and partner with Lifecycle Marketing, CRM, Data Engineering, and Analytics leadership to deliver scalable, measurable retention and personalization programs.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Delivery
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of martech engineers and marketing technologists, setting clear goals, priorities, and development paths
- Own sprint planning, delivery management, and stakeholder communication for the martech roadmap
- Establish engineering standards, documentation practices, and operational runbooks across the team
- Balance hands-on technical guidance with strategic planning; remain close enough to the stack to unblock the team and review designs
Martech Strategy, Platform & Journey Orchestration
- Own the marketing technology roadmap spanning CDP, reverse ETL, and activation platforms, including vendor evaluation, contract inputs, and platform consolidation decisions
- Oversee the technical integration and data ingestion for retention, lifecycle, and loyalty programs (partnering with Engineering on core loyalty logic)
- Guide the design of cross-channel journeys across messaging channels such as Braze (Email, Push) and related orchestration tools, driving reusable triggers, templates, and journey patterns that scale across teams and use cases
Customer 360 & Data Enablement
- Partner with Data Engineering leadership to design and operationalize Customer 360 as the foundation for activation
- Own the strategy for syncing customer profiles, traits, and audiences from data platforms into the CDP and Braze via reverse ETL
- Ensure consistency of identity resolution, consent flags, and audience logic across systems
- Establish and enforce ownership of marketing data definitions and source-of-truth alignment across the organization
Paid Media & Acquisition Marketing
- Own the martech and data infrastructure powering paid media and acquisition, including ad platform integrations, server-side conversion APIs (CAPI), and first-party audience activation
- Operationalize audience and suppression syncs to paid channels (Meta, Google, TikTok, and similar) from the CDP via reverse ETL to sharpen targeting and reduce wasted spend
- Partner with Acquisition and Growth Marketing leadership to build conversion tracking, attribution, and measurement for new-customer acquisition and paid performance
- Ensure privacy-compliant data sharing with ad platforms (Consent Mode, hashed first-party data), enforcing consent and suppression across paid destinations
- Leverage data collaboration and identity capabilities (e.g., LiveRamp)—identity resolution (RampID), data onboarding, clean rooms, the data marketplace for third-party enrichment, cross-channel activation and addressability, and cross-media measurement—to power lookalike modeling, audience expansion, and privacy-safe targeting
Experimentation & Measurement
- Champion A/B testing, holdouts, and incrementality measurement for lifecycle and retention programs
- Set tagging and campaign metadata standards to support measurement and future AI-driven performance modeling
- Partner with Analytics leadership to define and report on engagement, retention, conversion, and customer lifetime value outcomes
- Advance measurement capabilities such as marketing mix modeling (MMM) and geo-based incrementality testing (e.g., Haus) to quantify channel and campaign contribution to revenue
Reliability, Privacy & Governance
- Own operational health of the martech stack: data quality, pipeline reliability, campaign delivery performance, and observability
- Ensure consent enforcement, suppression logic, and governance controls are implemented and audited
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (CCPA/GDPR), including automated "Right to be Forgotten" workflows that propagate deletions across the CDP and downstream vendors
- Oversee deliverability strategy, including transactional IP pool management and IP warming (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) during platform migrations
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as the primary technology partner to Lifecycle Marketing, CRM, and Retention leadership
- Translate business strategy into a prioritized, executable martech roadmap with clear outcomes and tradeoffs
- Communicate progress, risks, and results to executive stakeholders in clear, outcome-oriented terms
QUALIFICATIONS
- A people-first leader with a strong ownership and execution mindset, comfortable leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
- 6+ years of experience in Martech, Marketing Operations, CRM, or Data Engineering, including 2+ years managing technical teams or leading large programs
- Strong experience with:
- CDPs and reverse ETL tools (e.g., Hightouch, GrowthLoop)
- Messaging channel platforms such as Braze, Sinch, Attentive, or Airship (Email, Push, SMS)
- Event-driven data architectures
- SQL and cloud data warehouses
- Managing a hybrid stack of activation tools (Email, SMS, Push), including identity resolution and frequency capping across vendors
- Proven experience delivering retention marketing, CRM, and lifecycle programs at scale
- Strong understanding of identity resolution, consent management, and customer data modeling
- Fluent in experimentation and marketing measurement frameworks
- A clear communicator who bridges marketing, engineering, and executive perspectives
- High-volume Retail/eCommerce experience preferred, specifically managing transactional messaging migrations
- Exposure to personalization, recommendations, or decisioning systems
- Experience managing vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and platform migrations
- Hands-on scripting background (Python or JavaScript)

Target roles in design, tech, and corporate functions
Alo's sponsorship activity tends to concentrate in specialized roles rather than retail or entry-level positions. Focus your search on product design, technology, data, and corporate operations where specialty occupation requirements are easier to demonstrate.
Understand which visa types Alo supports
Alo sponsors H-1B and Green Card pathways, as well as F-1 OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. Knowing which categories align with your status helps you target the right roles and frame your eligibility clearly when applying.
Leverage OPT and CPT as an entry point
If you're on F-1 status, Alo's support for OPT and CPT makes internships and entry-level roles a realistic way in. Performing well in these positions strengthens your case for longer-term H-1B sponsorship consideration.
Align your application to Alo's brand identity
Alo operates at the intersection of fashion, wellness, and lifestyle. Candidates who demonstrate genuine familiarity with the brand's positioning and aesthetic tend to stand out in a company where cultural alignment carries real weight in hiring decisions.
Filter for verified sponsors before applying
Not every Alo role will include sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time by focusing only on openings where international candidates have a realistic path.
Start the conversation about sponsorship early
In fashion and apparel hiring, timelines move quickly. Raising your visa status early in the process, ideally before a formal offer, prevents surprises and gives Alo's HR team time to coordinate with immigration counsel on your sponsorship.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Alo sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Alo sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a track record of filing H-1B petitions for roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, typically in areas like technology, product design, and corporate functions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every open role, so it's worth confirming eligibility directly with Alo's recruiting team during the interview process.
Which visa types does Alo sponsor?
Alo sponsors a range of visa categories including H-1B, Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and J-1 visa. This breadth makes Alo accessible to international candidates at different stages, from students on F-1 to experienced professionals seeking permanent residence sponsorship.
Which departments or roles at Alo are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Alo is most common in specialized, degree-required roles. Technology, data, product design, and corporate operations functions are the strongest candidates. Retail, warehouse, and general customer-facing roles are far less likely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship given the specialty occupation requirement tied to a specific field of study.
How do I find open roles at Alo that include visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find Alo roles with confirmed sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through job listings without any sponsorship signal, Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for employers with a verified track record, including Alo, so you spend time only on applications where international candidates have a realistic shot.
How do I approach the application timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship from Alo?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed for an October 1 start date, with lottery registration typically opening in March. If you're applying to Alo and need cap-subject sponsorship, aim to secure an offer well before March to give the company time to register you. Candidates already on OPT or another valid status have more flexibility since cap-exempt scenarios may apply.
