Target corporate roles over dealership floor positions
Green Card sponsorship at Penske concentrates in corporate functions like IT, finance, HR, and operations management rather than sales or service floor roles. Focus your application on Penske's Reading, Pennsylvania headquarters or regional management positions where PERM filings are more common.
Understand which EB pathway fits your background
Most Penske Green Card filings run through EB-2 or EB-3, depending on your role's degree requirements. EB-2 covers positions requiring an advanced degree; EB-3 covers skilled workers with a bachelor's. Clarify which category your target role falls under before negotiating sponsorship during the offer stage.
Prepare a PERM-ready resume before your first interview
PERM labor certification requires Penske to document that no qualified U.S. worker is available for your role. Your resume should reflect the exact minimum requirements the position will be advertised with, since any mismatch between your credentials and the PERM job description can delay or invalidate the filing.
Use OFLC Wage Search to benchmark your offer
Before accepting an offer, look up the prevailing wage for your job title and location using the OFLC Wage Search. Penske must pay at least the DOL-determined prevailing wage throughout the PERM process, so confirming your offer meets or exceeds that threshold protects both your application and your negotiating position.
Find Penske's Green Card sponsoring roles on Migrate Mate
Search Penske Automotive Group on Migrate Mate to see which roles and locations have active or historical Green Card sponsorship. Filter by EB category to focus on positions where Penske has filed before, which signals internal familiarity with the PERM and I-140 process for that job family.
Raise sponsorship timing during the offer negotiation
PERM can take 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives your I-140 petition. Ask Penske's HR team during the offer stage whether they'll initiate PERM within your first year, and get any sponsorship commitment documented in your offer letter to avoid ambiguity once you're onboarded.
Penske Automotive Group Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Penske Automotive Group sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Penske Automotive Group does sponsor Green Cards for select roles. Sponsorship is not offered across every position or location, but Penske has an established process for professional and technical employees. Roles in IT, finance, operations, and corporate management are most likely to come with Green Card sponsorship eligibility.
Which roles and departments typically receive Green Card sponsorship at Penske Automotive Group?
Green Card sponsorship at Penske is concentrated in corporate functions rather than retail automotive roles. IT analysts, financial professionals, HR specialists, and operations managers at Penske's corporate offices are the most common beneficiaries. Dealership-level sales and service roles rarely qualify, as those positions are harder to support through the PERM labor certification process.
How does the Green Card application process work at Penske Automotive Group?
Penske typically sponsors Green Cards through the PERM labor certification route, which requires DOL approval before an I-140 immigrant petition can be filed with USCIS. The process involves documenting that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role, filing the certified PERM with USCIS, and then waiting for visa availability based on your country of birth and EB category.
How long does the Green Card process take at Penske Automotive Group?
The full timeline depends on your EB category and country of birth. PERM labor certification alone can take 12 to 18 months with DOL. After an approved I-140, applicants from oversubscribed countries like India or China may face multi-year waits for a visa number. Applicants from most other countries can typically move to the final adjustment or consular step more quickly.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Penske Automotive Group?
Migrate Mate lists Penske Automotive Group roles filtered by visa sponsorship type, including Green Card. You can see which departments and job families have sponsorship history, helping you target applications strategically rather than applying broadly. Cross-referencing with USCIS records for Penske's I-140 filings can also confirm which occupation categories the company has sponsored most recently.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Penske Automotive Group?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
