Match your credentials to PERM requirements
Primoris typically files PERM labor certifications for technical roles requiring documented education and experience. Pull the exact minimum requirements from any job posting before applying, PERM filings lock in those credentials, so mismatches between your resume and the posted requirements can derail certification.
Target EB-3 roles in field operations
Facilities and infrastructure services companies like Primoris frequently use EB-3 for skilled trades and project support roles that don't require advanced degrees. If your background is in operations rather than engineering, an EB-3 pathway through a field-based role is your most direct entry point.
Verify your wage tier before negotiating
DOL's PERM process requires Primoris to pay at least the prevailing wage for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check your wage level before salary discussions, being offered a Level I wage when your experience warrants Level III can complicate the filing.
Use Migrate Mate to identify Green Card filing patterns
Before targeting specific roles at Primoris, use Migrate Mate to review the company's Green Card filing history by job title and location. This tells you which departments have actually sponsored before, so you're not applying blind to teams with no sponsorship track record.
Ask about sponsorship timing during the offer stage
Green Card sponsorship at companies like Primoris is typically initiated after a probationary period, not at hire. During your offer negotiation, ask directly whether sponsorship is offered, at what tenure milestone, and whether the company covers legal fees, these terms vary by role and business unit.
Distinguish your EB-2 eligibility before applying
If you hold an advanced degree or can demonstrate exceptional ability in engineering, project management, or technical services, push for EB-2 classification rather than defaulting to EB-3. EB-2 skips certain PERM documentation steps and, for most nationalities, moves faster through USCIS adjudication.
Primoris Services Corporation Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Primoris Services Corporation sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Primoris Services Corporation sponsors Green Card visas, primarily through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways. Sponsorship is typically tied to specialized technical, engineering, and project operations roles within the company's facilities and infrastructure services divisions. Most sponsorship activity follows PERM labor certification, which requires demonstrating that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the position.
Which roles at Primoris Services Corporation are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Primoris tends to concentrate in technical and project-driven roles, including engineers, project managers, and skilled tradespeople in facilities and infrastructure services. Roles requiring specialized credentials or field expertise that are difficult to fill domestically are most likely to qualify for PERM-based sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 classifications.
How do I start the Green Card process at Primoris Services Corporation?
The process typically begins after you've been employed at Primoris for a defined period, at which point the company's immigration counsel files a PERM labor certification with DOL on your behalf. You'll need to provide documentation of your education and work history. USCIS then adjudicates the immigrant petition once PERM is certified. Use Migrate Mate to understand which Primoris roles have historically led to sponsorship before you apply.
How long does the Green Card process take at Primoris Services Corporation?
Timeline depends on your nationality, the visa category, and current USCIS and DOL processing speeds. PERM labor certification alone can take several months, followed by USCIS adjudication of the immigrant petition. For applicants from countries without significant backlogs, the full process from PERM filing to Green Card approval can run one to three years or longer depending on case complexity.
How do I know if a specific Primoris role qualifies for Green Card sponsorship?
Not every role at Primoris will qualify for or receive Green Card sponsorship. Roles that require specialized education, technical certifications, or skills that are demonstrably hard to source domestically are stronger candidates for PERM. During the interview process, ask the hiring manager or HR directly whether Green Card sponsorship is available for the role and what the typical sponsorship timeline looks like for that business unit.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Primoris Services Corporation?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
