Job Roles at Shield AI
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Shield AI Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles requiring deep technical expertise
Shield AI's Green Card sponsorships concentrate in roles where specialized knowledge is hard to replace, autonomy engineers, AI researchers, and aerospace systems specialists. Positioning yourself in these high-retention areas increases your chances of a Green Card commitment.
Understand the defense clearance and sponsorship intersection
Aerospace and defense employers like Shield AI often prioritize Green Card sponsorship for employees who hold or are pursuing security clearances, since long-term residency status aligns with clearance stability requirements. Highlighting clearance eligibility strengthens your profile.
Ask about Green Card timelines during the offer stage
Green Card sponsorship terms vary by role and seniority at defense firms. Raise the question directly during negotiation, ask whether the role qualifies for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship and what the typical initiation timeline looks like after joining.
Align your background with Shield AI's core mission areas
Shield AI focuses on autonomous systems and AI for defense applications. Candidates with backgrounds in machine learning, embedded systems, or defense-grade software development are better positioned for roles where Green Card sponsorship is more likely to be offered.
Use verified sponsorship data when researching open roles
Not every Shield AI job posting confirms Green Card sponsorship upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on roles with a confirmed track record.
Demonstrate long-term commitment to the company's mission
Defense contractors weigh Green Card sponsorship as a long-term investment. During interviews, connecting your career goals to Shield AI's autonomy and national security mission signals the kind of retention value that makes employers more willing to initiate sponsorship.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Shield AI sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Shield AI does sponsor Green Card visas for qualifying employees. Sponsorship is typically reserved for specialized technical roles in areas like AI, autonomy, and aerospace engineering where long-term retention is a priority. Not every open position includes Green Card sponsorship, so it's worth confirming directly during the hiring process.
Which roles or departments at Shield AI are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Shield AI tends to concentrate in engineering and research functions, particularly roles in machine learning, autonomous systems, software engineering, and aerospace systems design. These are the disciplines where Shield AI's core defense technology work is built, and where the company has the greatest incentive to support long-term immigration pathways for skilled employees.
How does the Green Card application process work at Shield AI?
Shield AI typically initiates Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition filed under EB-2 or EB-3 categories. The company's legal or HR team manages the process, but employees are usually expected to work closely with the assigned immigration attorney. It's important to clarify sponsorship terms, including who covers legal fees, before accepting an offer.
How long does the Green Card process take when sponsored by Shield AI?
The timeline depends on your visa category and country of birth. For candidates born outside high-demand countries, the process from PERM filing to Green Card approval can take two to four years or more. For applicants from India or China, employment-based backlogs can extend the wait significantly longer. Starting on H-1B or another nonimmigrant status that allows extensions is common during this period.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Shield AI that confirm sponsorship?
Job postings don't always specify Green Card sponsorship, which makes it hard to know which roles qualify before applying. Migrate Mate helps by showing verified Green Card sponsorship history for employers like Shield AI, so you can identify roles backed by a real sponsorship track record rather than relying on vague language in job descriptions. Filtering by confirmed sponsors saves significant time in your search.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Shield AI?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
