Target technical and engineering roles
STV's Green Card sponsorships are concentrated in engineering, architecture, and infrastructure consulting. Focusing your application on roles that require specialized technical expertise improves your chances of being considered for a sponsored position.
Understand the EB-2 and EB-3 pathways
STV typically sponsors through EB-2 and EB-3 categories. Knowing which pathway fits your qualifications and experience level before your interview signals genuine preparation and helps HR assess your case efficiently.
Raise sponsorship early in the process
In consulting and professional services, immigration decisions are made at the hiring manager level. Mentioning your Green Card intent during the offer stage, not after, avoids delays and aligns expectations before paperwork begins.
Demonstrate long-term project commitment
Consulting firms prioritize Green Card sponsorship for employees they expect to retain across multi-year projects. Framing your skills around sustained contributions to infrastructure programs signals the kind of tenure that justifies sponsorship investment.
Find verified sponsorship roles before applying
Not every STV listing is tied to active sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your effort on roles where Green Card support is genuinely available.
Get immigration counsel involved early
The PERM labor certification process involves strict documentation requirements. Asking STV's HR team early whether they use in-house counsel or an external immigration firm helps you understand timelines and prepare your own documentation proactively.
STV Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does STV sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, STV sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. Sponsorship is primarily offered through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories and is most common in technical, engineering, and consulting roles. Sponsorship decisions are typically made on a case-by-case basis after a period of employment, and not all open positions will automatically come with Green Card support.
Which roles at STV are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at STV is most commonly tied to roles in civil and structural engineering, transportation planning, architecture, and project management. These positions align with STV's core infrastructure consulting work and tend to require specialized qualifications that support the labor certification process. Generalist or administrative roles are less likely to be sponsored.
How does the Green Card application process work at STV?
STV typically initiates the Green Card process through PERM labor certification, where the company must demonstrate that no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. Once PERM is approved, STV files an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf. From there, you wait for a visa number to become available before filing for adjustment of status or consular processing.
How long does the Green Card process take at STV?
The timeline depends on your country of birth and the visa category used. The PERM and I-140 stages together can take one to two years. If you were born in a high-demand country like India, priority date backlogs can extend the total wait significantly beyond that. EB-1 and National Interest Waiver pathways, if applicable, can bypass PERM and move faster.
How do I find STV Green Card jobs on Migrate Mate?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings by visa type and verified sponsorship history, so you can identify STV roles where Green Card support is a realistic outcome. Rather than applying broadly and asking about sponsorship later, using Migrate Mate helps you start the conversation from a position of confirmed eligibility, which saves time for both you and the employer.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at STV?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
