Target clinical and specialized roles
Trinity Health's Green Card sponsorship is concentrated in clinical positions where sustained workforce demand is highest. Physicians, nurses, and allied health specialists are the most likely candidates for employer-sponsored permanent residence across its hospital and health system locations.
Understand the EB-2 and EB-3 pathways
Trinity Health files under EB-2 and EB-3 categories depending on the role and your qualifications. EB-2 typically applies to advanced-degree professionals; EB-3 covers skilled workers. Knowing which category fits your background helps you have an informed conversation with their HR team.
Get established on a work visa first
Most Trinity Health Green Card sponsorships begin after you've joined on an H-1B visa, TN visa, or J-1 visa. Demonstrating your value in a clinical or specialized role over time significantly improves your chances of the organization initiating the PERM labor certification process on your behalf.
Ask about sponsorship during the offer stage
Raise Green Card sponsorship explicitly when negotiating your offer, not after you've started. Trinity Health's recruiting teams in healthcare handle these conversations routinely. Getting written confirmation of sponsorship intent in your offer letter avoids ambiguity later in the process.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified open roles
Trinity Health posts roles across dozens of facilities, and not all positions carry the same sponsorship likelihood. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on openings where Green Card support is a realistic outcome.
Plan for PERM labor certification timelines
The PERM process, which Trinity Health must complete before filing your immigrant petition, can take a year or more before your I-140 is even submitted. Starting the conversation early in your employment gives the legal and HR teams enough lead time to initiate the process without disrupting your status.
Trinity Health Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Trinity Health sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Trinity Health sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. Sponsorship is most common in clinical, nursing, and specialized medical roles where long-term staffing needs align with the PERM labor certification requirements. Not every position qualifies, so confirming sponsorship intent directly with the hiring team during the offer process is the most reliable approach.
Which roles and departments at Trinity Health are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Clinical roles, including physicians, registered nurses, and allied health professionals, are the strongest candidates for Green Card sponsorship at Trinity Health. Specialized departments with persistent workforce shortages, such as critical care, radiology, and behavioral health, tend to have the most consistent employer-initiated sponsorship activity across the Trinity Health network.
How do I start the Green Card process at Trinity Health?
The process typically begins with Trinity Health's HR or legal team filing a PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor, which verifies that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. Once PERM is approved, Trinity Health files an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf. You will need to be employed there and have management's agreement to sponsor before any steps can begin.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Trinity Health?
The full Green Card process from PERM filing to approval of permanent residence generally takes several years, with significant variation depending on your country of birth and the visa category. PERM alone can take over a year. Applicants born in countries with high demand for employment-based Green Cards, such as India, face longer waits due to annual per-country limits outside Trinity Health's control.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Trinity Health on Migrate Mate?
Migrate Mate indexes Trinity Health job listings and flags roles at verified Green Card sponsors, so you can quickly identify openings where sponsorship is a real possibility rather than guesswork. Search for Trinity Health on Migrate Mate and filter by Green Card sponsorship to see current openings. Applying through a platform that tracks actual sponsorship history improves the quality of your shortlist significantly.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Trinity Health?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
