Align your degree to CHA's specialty occupations
CHA Consulting hires for roles in civil, structural, environmental, and geotechnical engineering. Before applying, verify your degree field maps directly to your target role using O*NET, since USCIS requires a direct relationship between your academic background and the position.
Target project-specific openings in infrastructure divisions
CHA's H-1B sponsorships cluster around transportation, water, and energy infrastructure projects. Filter your job search by project type rather than job title alone, roles tied to active contracts are more likely to move quickly through the offer and filing stages.
Confirm your employer's prevailing wage tier early
Run your target role and CHA's office location through the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating your offer. Your offered salary must meet or exceed the prevailing wage for your SOC code and location, and mismatches are one of the most common causes of LCA delays.
Use Migrate Mate to verify CHA's LCA filing history
Before accepting an offer, search CHA Consulting's Labor Condition Application records on Migrate Mate. You'll see which job titles and office locations have active LCA filings, which helps you assess whether your role fits their established sponsorship pattern before the H-1B petition stage.
Submit your application before the April H-1B cap deadline
CHA Consulting participates in the annual H-1B lottery, so your registration window is March each year. Coordinate with CHA's HR team by February to ensure your employer information, job description, and wage documentation are ready for USCIS registration on time.
Request a written sponsorship commitment in your offer letter
Ask CHA's recruiting team to specify H-1B sponsorship in your written offer before you resign from a current position or let your OPT authorization lapse. Consulting firms occasionally restructure projects, and a documented commitment protects you if your start date shifts.
CHA Consulting, Inc. H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does CHA Consulting, Inc. sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, CHA Consulting, Inc. sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying technical roles in its engineering and consulting divisions. The company has an established history of filing H-1B petitions for positions in civil, structural, environmental, and infrastructure disciplines. Candidates should confirm sponsorship availability for their specific role and office location during the recruiting process.
Which roles at CHA Consulting typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at CHA Consulting is most common in engineering roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Positions in civil engineering, structural design, environmental science, transportation planning, and water resources consistently appear in the firm's LCA filings. You can review CHA's active Labor Condition Applications on Migrate Mate to identify which titles and locations are currently filing.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at CHA Consulting, Inc.?
CHA Consulting's HR and legal teams manage the H-1B petition process after you accept an offer. Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL, then submits the I-129 petition to USCIS during the annual cap filing window. You'll need to provide degree credentials, employment verification, and a detailed job description. USCIS has published guidance on each stage of the process.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at CHA Consulting?
Standard H-1B processing at USCIS typically runs several months after the April 1 petition filing date, with employment starting no earlier than October 1 for cap-subject cases. Premium processing, which USCIS offers for an additional government fee, can reduce adjudication to roughly 15 business days if CHA elects that option. Plan for a six-to-nine month gap between offer acceptance and your H-1B start date under standard processing.
How do I strengthen my H-1B application when targeting CHA Consulting?
Position your credentials clearly against CHA's engineering specializations. Obtain degree equivalency evaluations in advance if your education is from outside the U.S., since CHA typically sponsors roles requiring a directly related bachelor's degree or higher. Confirm your role's SOC code and wage level using the OFLC Wage Search so your offer aligns with DOL prevailing wage requirements before the LCA is filed.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at CHA Consulting, Inc.?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
