Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation requirements
CrossCountry Consulting's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in roles requiring specialized accounting, auditing, or advisory credentials. Focus your applications on positions where a specific bachelor's degree in your field is a stated requirement, not just preferred.
Highlight relevant certifications early in your application
CPA licensure, CFA designation, or sector-specific audit credentials signal to CrossCountry's hiring team that you meet the technical bar for H-1B specialty occupation classification. Lead with these credentials in your resume summary and cover letter.
Understand that H-1B sponsorship decisions happen at the practice level
At consulting firms like CrossCountry, individual practice leads often influence sponsorship decisions. Connecting with the specific team you're applying to, not just HR, can clarify whether sponsorship is realistic for that particular opening.
Align your application timeline with the H-1B cap cycle
CrossCountry Consulting's H-1B filings are subject to the annual cap, with USCIS accepting petitions from April 1 for an October 1 start. If you're interviewing in late fall or winter, discuss timing expectations openly with your recruiter.
Use Migrate Mate to verify CrossCountry's sponsorship history before applying
Migrate Mate surfaces verified H-1B sponsors so you can confirm CrossCountry Consulting's actual sponsorship track record before investing time in the application process. Filtering by real sponsorship data helps you prioritize your job search effectively.
Prepare to articulate your visa situation clearly during screening
CrossCountry recruiters will likely ask about your current status and sponsorship needs early in the process. Being direct about your H-1B requirements and your OPT or grace period timeline helps the firm assess feasibility before extending an offer.
CrossCountry Consulting H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B visas. The firm supports international professionals in qualifying consulting and advisory roles, though its H-1B program is selective. Sponsorship is most likely for positions requiring specialized technical expertise in accounting, auditing, or related disciplines where a specific degree field is a firm requirement.
Which roles at CrossCountry Consulting are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at CrossCountry Consulting is concentrated in technical consulting roles within accounting, auditing, financial advisory, and risk management practices. Positions requiring credentials such as CPA licensure or a degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field are the strongest candidates for sponsorship, as they meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at CrossCountry Consulting?
Once CrossCountry Consulting extends an offer and confirms sponsorship, the firm's immigration counsel handles the H-1B petition preparation. Your role is to provide documentation such as your degree transcripts, credentials, and employment history. The petition is filed with USCIS, and premium processing is sometimes available to accelerate the adjudication timeline if timing is critical.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at CrossCountry Consulting?
Standard H-1B processing at CrossCountry Consulting follows the USCIS cap cycle, meaning petitions filed in April typically result in an October 1 start date. If the firm opts for premium processing, USCIS adjudicates the petition within a shorter window. Plan for several months between offer acceptance and your authorized start date under H-1B status.
How do I find open H-1B jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
Migrate Mate lists verified H-1B sponsor companies including CrossCountry Consulting, so you can search current openings and confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. When applying directly, look for roles in CrossCountry's accounting, audit, and advisory practices, and raise your H-1B sponsorship needs with the recruiter during the initial screening call to confirm fit early.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
