MORE ABOUT HOPPER
At Hopper, we are on a mission to become the leading travel platform globally – powering Hopper’s mobile app, website and our B2B business, HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions). By leveraging massive amounts of data and advanced machine learning algorithms, Hopper combines its world-class travel agency offering with proprietary fintech products to bring transparency, flexibility and savings to travelers globally. We have developed several unique fintech solutions that address everything from pricing volatility to trip disruptions – helping people travel better and save more on their trips.
The Hopper platform serves hundreds of millions of travelers globally and continues to capture market share around the world. The Hopper app has been downloaded over 120 million times and has become largely popular among younger travelers – with 70% of its users being Gen Z and millennials.
While everyone knows us as the Gen Z and Millennial travel app, Hopper has evolved to become much more than that. In recent years, we’ve grown into a travel fintech provider, commerce platform, and global travel agency that powers some of the world’s largest brands.
Through HTS, our B2B division, the company supercharges its partners’ direct channels by integrating our fintech products on their sites or powering end-to-end travel portals. Today, our partners include leading travel brands like Capital One, Nubank, Air Canada, and many more.
HERE ARE JUST A FEW STATS THAT DEMONSTRATE THE COMPANY’S RECENT GROWTH:
- Billions of dollars worth of travel and travel fintech are sold through Hopper and HTS’ channels every year.
- Our fintech products – including Cancel for Any Reason and Flight Disruption Assistance – have exceptionally strong CSAT because the terms are always clear, and customers receive instant, no-questions-asked resolutions.
- Almost 30% of our app customers purchase at least one fintech product when making a booking; and consumers are 1.6x more likely to repurchase if they add fintech to their booking vs if they booked just travel.
- Given the success of its fintech products, Hopper launched a B2B initiative, HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions), which represents more than 75% of the business.
Through HTS, any travel provider (airlines, hotels, banks, travel agencies, etc.) can integrate and seamlessly distribute Hopper’s fintech or travel inventory on their direct channels. As its first HTS partnership, the company partnered with Capital One to co-develop Capital One Travel, a new travel portal designed specifically for cardholders. Other HTS partners include Air Canada, Uber, CommBank, Nubank, Flair Airlines and many more.
Hopper has been named the #1 most innovative company in travel by Fast Company. Hopper has been downloaded over 120 million times and continues to have millions of new installs each month. Hopper is now the #3 largest online travel agency in North America and 70% of our app customers are Gen-Z and millennials travelers.
Hopper has raised over $750 million USD of private capital and is backed by some of the largest institutional investors and banks in the world. HTS is primed to continue its growth as the leading travel ecommerce provider in a $1 trillion online shopping category. The Hopper app and website will also continue to be the preferred travel provider for Gen Z and Millennials.

Job Roles at Hopper
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Hopper H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target technical roles first
Hopper's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in software engineering, data science, and product roles. Focusing your application on these functions gives you the strongest chance of landing a position where sponsorship is an established part of the hiring process.
Understand Hopper's H-1B timeline
H-1B petitions are tied to the annual April lottery, so timing your job search to align with Hopper's hiring cycle matters. Aim to have an offer in place before the registration window opens in March.
Highlight specialized expertise
Hopper operates at the intersection of travel technology and machine learning. Demonstrating deep expertise in areas like predictive algorithms, price forecasting, or large-scale data systems directly supports the specialty occupation standard H-1B requires.
Research Hopper's verified sponsorship history
Before applying, confirm that Hopper actively sponsors H-1B for the specific role type you're targeting. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving time on applications that won't lead anywhere.
Engage with Hopper's recruiting process early
H-1B sponsorship decisions at smaller tech companies like Hopper are often made at the offer stage. Bringing up your visa status early in conversations lets recruiters loop in immigration counsel before an offer is extended.
Leverage the travel technology angle
Hopper competes in a specialized corner of the hospitality and tourism space. Relevant experience with travel platforms, booking systems, or consumer fintech directly addresses the specialty occupation requirement and strengthens your H-1B petition.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hopper sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Hopper sponsors H-1B visas. The company has filed H-1B petitions to support international workers in qualifying roles, primarily in technical and engineering functions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every position, so confirming visa support with the recruiter before investing time in the process is worthwhile.
Which roles at Hopper typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Hopper is most consistently associated with roles in software engineering, machine learning, data engineering, and product development. These positions align most cleanly with the specialty occupation standard that H-1B requires. Business, operations, and customer-facing roles are less likely to qualify for sponsorship.
How do I apply for a job at Hopper with H-1B sponsorship?
Apply through Hopper's careers page and be upfront about your visa status during the initial recruiter screen. If you need help identifying which open roles have a genuine sponsorship track record, Migrate Mate lists verified H-1B sponsors and filters opportunities by sponsorship history, so you can apply with more confidence.
How do I know what timeline to expect for H-1B sponsorship at Hopper?
The H-1B process follows a fixed government calendar. USCIS opens registration in March, the lottery runs in late March, and approved petitions take effect October 1. If you're already on another work-authorized status, Hopper's immigration counsel will typically manage the filing after your offer is finalized.
How do I strengthen my H-1B petition when applying to Hopper?
The strongest H-1B petitions clearly connect your degree to the specific role being offered. For Hopper, that means emphasizing how your educational background in computer science, data science, or a related field directly applies to your target position. Documentation showing specialized expertise in travel technology or predictive systems further supports the petition.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Hopper?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
