How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Horrocks H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target technical and engineering roles
Horrocks primarily sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation roles in engineering and technical disciplines. Focus your applications on civil, structural, environmental, or transportation engineering positions where degree-specific qualifications are a firm requirement.
Confirm sponsorship willingness early
Construction and real estate firms vary widely on sponsorship policy by role and project pipeline. Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific position includes H-1B sponsorship before investing time in a lengthy application process.
Align your degree to the job description
H-1B approval at Horrocks depends on demonstrating your degree directly relates to the offered role. Engineering and planning positions with clear degree requirements are stronger petitions than generalist roles where any bachelor's degree satisfies the requirement.
Search verified sponsors before applying broadly
Not every Horrocks job posting will mention sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify which roles and companies are realistic options before submitting applications.
Apply well ahead of the H-1B cap deadline
Horrocks must file your H-1B petition before the April registration window closes for an October 1 start. Start conversations with hiring managers in late fall or early winter to give the company enough runway for internal approvals and attorney review.
Highlight project-specific technical expertise
Horrocks works across infrastructure, transportation, and land development projects. Demonstrating hands-on experience with relevant construction or planning software, permitting processes, or project delivery methods strengthens your case as a specialty occupation candidate.

Does Horrocks sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Horrocks sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a documented sponsorship history, primarily supporting engineering and technical professionals in specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship is typically tied to specific positions rather than offered across all departments, so confirming eligibility with the hiring team early in the process is important.
Which roles at Horrocks are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Horrocks is most common in roles requiring a specific degree in a technical field, such as civil, structural, environmental, and transportation engineering. Planning and project management roles with defined degree requirements may also qualify. Generalist or administrative positions are less likely to meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B approval.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Horrocks?
After receiving an offer, Horrocks works with an immigration attorney to prepare your H-1B petition, including a Labor Condition Application filed with the Department of Labor. The petition is then submitted to USCIS during the annual cap registration window. Your role is to provide documentation of your degree, transcripts, and any prior work authorization records the attorney requests.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Horrocks?
The full timeline from job offer to H-1B approval typically spans several months. USCIS opens registration in March, and cap-subject approvals take effect October 1 at the earliest. Standard processing can run three to five months after filing, though premium processing is available for faster adjudication. Plan for a gap between your offer and your authorized start date.
How do I find open H-1B roles at Horrocks?
Start by monitoring Horrocks's careers page for engineering and technical openings, then cross-reference with Migrate Mate, which tracks verified H-1B sponsors and filters listings by real sponsorship history. When you identify a role, reach out to the recruiter directly to confirm the position includes H-1B sponsorship before applying, since not all postings specify this upfront.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Horrocks?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
