Target technical and engineering roles
Lithko Contracting's H-1B sponsorship tends to concentrate in roles requiring specialized technical credentials, such as civil or structural engineering. Focus your applications on positions where a specific degree field is clearly required, not just preferred.
Understand construction industry H-1B timelines
Construction firms often tie hiring to project cycles. Apply well ahead of H-1B cap season, ideally in the fall or winter, so your employer has enough lead time to file a petition before the April 1 registration window opens.
Highlight specialty occupation credentials upfront
H-1B approval in construction hinges on proving your role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Lead your application materials with your degree field, licensure, and how your credentials directly map to the specific technical requirements of the role.
Research Lithko's project footprint before applying
Lithko operates across multiple U.S. regions on large-scale concrete and construction projects. Knowing which regions are active helps you target open roles where headcount needs are highest and sponsorship is most likely to be approved.
Use verified sponsorship data to find open roles
Not every Lithko job posting will mention H-1B explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify Lithko openings where sponsorship has actually been granted before.
Prepare for project-based employment documentation
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions in construction for employer-employee control. Be ready for your employer to document supervision structures and project assignments clearly, which strengthens the petition and reduces the risk of a Request for Evidence.
Lithko Contracting H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Lithko Contracting sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Lithko Contracting does sponsor H-1B visas. The company has an active sponsorship track record in the construction and real estate sector, primarily for technical and engineering positions. Sponsorship is not offered for every role, so candidates should confirm visa support directly with the recruiting team during the application process.
Which roles at Lithko Contracting are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Lithko Contracting is most commonly associated with roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field, such as civil engineering, structural engineering, or construction management. General labor, trades, and supervisory roles that don't require a specialized degree are unlikely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I apply for a role at Lithko Contracting as an H-1B candidate?
Apply through Lithko Contracting's careers page and clearly indicate your need for visa sponsorship in your application materials. Once an offer is extended, Lithko's HR team typically works with an immigration attorney to file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS. Migrate Mate can help you identify which open Lithko roles have a verified sponsorship history.
What is the typical H-1B sponsorship timeline at Lithko Contracting?
The H-1B process runs on a federal timeline regardless of employer. USCIS opens registration in early March, with cap-subject petitions filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. From offer acceptance to petition filing, Lithko and its immigration counsel typically need several weeks to prepare the LCA and supporting documentation, so early engagement is important.
How do I improve my chances of getting H-1B sponsorship at Lithko Contracting?
Focus on roles where your degree field directly aligns with the position requirements, since specialty occupation is the core H-1B eligibility test. Obtain any relevant professional engineering licensure if applicable, as it strengthens the specialty occupation argument. Raise your sponsorship needs early in conversations with recruiters so there are no surprises late in the hiring process.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Lithko Contracting?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
