Match your degree to the role
H-1B approval at R+L Carriers depends on proving your position qualifies as a specialty occupation. Cross-reference your job title against O*NET to confirm the role typically requires a specific bachelor's degree field, not just any degree.
Target technology and engineering openings
R+L Carriers' H-1B filings concentrate in roles supporting its logistics technology and infrastructure, not driving or dispatch. Focus your search on IT, systems engineering, and operations analytics positions where specialty occupation status is clearly defensible.
Verify prevailing wage before negotiating
Before your offer stage, use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the prevailing wage for your specific job title and location. R+L Carriers must pay at least this rate on your LCA, so knowing the floor helps you negotiate confidently.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment early
H-1B employers must be enrolled in E-Verify. Confirming R+L Carriers' active enrollment before you accept an offer protects you from delays after filing. Ask HR directly, or check through the USCIS E-Verify employer search before your first day.
Use Migrate Mate to research R+L Carriers' filing history
Before applying, use Migrate Mate to review R+L Carriers' H-1B LCA filing history by role and location. This tells you which departments have sponsored before, helping you prioritize openings most likely to move forward through the full petition process.
Prepare for the cap-subject lottery timeline
Unless you're already in H-1B status, your petition enters the annual cap lottery with an October 1 start date if selected. Align your job search and offer timing with R+L Carriers' hiring cycle so your sponsor can file during the March registration window.
R+L Carriers H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does R+L Carriers sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, R+L Carriers sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship is concentrated in corporate and technology functions rather than operations or driving positions. If your role requires a specific bachelor's degree and fits the specialty occupation definition under USCIS guidelines, R+L Carriers has an established process to support H-1B petitions.
Which roles at R+L Carriers typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at R+L Carriers is most common in technology, engineering, and analytical roles that support its logistics network. Positions in software development, systems administration, and data analysis are the most consistent candidates. General operations, dispatch, and driving roles do not qualify because they don't meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires.
How do I start the H-1B application process at R+L Carriers?
The process begins after you receive a job offer. R+L Carriers' HR or legal team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL to certify the prevailing wage, then submits the H-1B petition to USCIS. Your role is to provide documentation of your degree, credentials, and relevant work history well before the March registration window opens.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at R+L Carriers?
Standard H-1B processing through USCIS takes several months after the October 1 start date. If R+L Carriers opts for premium processing, USCIS adjudicates within 15 business days. Factor in the March lottery registration, potential requests for evidence, and LCA certification time when planning your start date with the company.
How do I find open H-1B roles at R+L Carriers?
Search Migrate Mate to filter R+L Carriers job openings by H-1B sponsorship history, so you can focus on departments that have filed LCAs before. Cross-referencing open roles with past filing patterns gives you a practical shortlist of positions where sponsorship is most likely to be approved rather than starting from scratch.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at R+L Carriers?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
