Job Roles at Spirit AeroSystems
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Spirit AeroSystems H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and technical roles
Spirit AeroSystems focuses H-1B sponsorship on specialty occupation roles in structural engineering, manufacturing, and systems integration. Prioritize applications in these areas rather than support or administrative functions, which are less likely to receive sponsorship consideration.
Highlight aerospace-specific credentials
Spirit operates at the core of commercial and defense aerospace manufacturing. Demonstrating hands-on knowledge of aircraft structures, composite materials, or production systems gives your application stronger alignment with the specialty occupation standard H-1B requires.
Confirm sponsorship intent early in the process
Because Spirit AeroSystems sponsors selectively, raise visa sponsorship during the initial recruiter screen rather than waiting until an offer stage. This avoids investing time in a process where sponsorship may not be available for your specific role.
Use verified sponsorship data to find real openings
Not every Spirit AeroSystems job listing will state sponsorship availability clearly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on roles where H-1B support has actually been provided.
Understand the cap and timing requirements
Spirit AeroSystems must file your H-1B petition during the annual cap season with an October 1 start date. Factor this into your job search timeline so your offer and onboarding plan align with the H-1B lottery and filing windows.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Spirit AeroSystems sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Spirit AeroSystems sponsors H-1B visas. The company's sponsorship activity is concentrated in engineering and technical disciplines tied to its aerospace manufacturing operations. Sponsorship is selective rather than broad, so candidates with specialized skills in structures, composites, or production engineering are best positioned to receive support.
Which roles and departments at Spirit AeroSystems are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Spirit AeroSystems is most common in roles that meet the specialty occupation standard, including structural engineers, manufacturing engineers, systems engineers, and quality assurance professionals. Roles in aerospace design, production planning, and advanced manufacturing technology are strong candidates. General administrative or entry-level support roles are less likely to qualify.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Spirit AeroSystems?
Once Spirit AeroSystems agrees to sponsor you, their HR and legal teams coordinate the petition with an immigration attorney. The process involves obtaining a certified Labor Condition Application from the Department of Labor, followed by filing Form I-129 with USCIS. You will need to provide employment verification documents and degree credentials to support the specialty occupation determination.
How do I plan my timeline when applying for H-1B sponsorship at Spirit AeroSystems?
H-1B petitions for cap-subject candidates must be filed in April for an October 1 start date. If you are currently on OPT or CPT, confirm whether your work authorization covers the gap between filing and approval. Spirit AeroSystems will need enough lead time before April to prepare your petition, so ideally secure an offer by late February or early March.
How do I find verified H-1B jobs at Spirit AeroSystems?
Job listings do not always specify whether H-1B sponsorship is available for a given position. Migrate Mate tracks verified H-1B sponsorship history so you can identify Spirit AeroSystems roles where international candidates have previously been supported. This helps you apply with confidence rather than discovering late in the process that sponsorship is not on offer for your role.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Spirit AeroSystems?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
