How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Squire Patton Boggs H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target practice areas with international demand
Squire Patton Boggs sponsors H-1B visas for attorneys in high-demand practice areas like corporate law, intellectual property, and regulatory affairs. Research which of its global practice groups are actively expanding before applying.
Demonstrate specialized legal expertise early
H-1B sponsorship at law firms is reserved for candidates whose specialization is hard to source domestically. Emphasize niche legal knowledge, foreign law credentials, cross-border transaction experience, or regulatory expertise specific to a practice group.
Engage through law school recruiting channels
Squire Patton Boggs recruits heavily through law school on-campus interview programs. Summer associate and clerkship positions are common entry points where sponsorship conversations happen earliest in the hiring process.
Clarify sponsorship willingness before advancing
Law firms vary by office on H-1B sponsorship decisions. Raise your visa situation with the recruiting team early, not after an offer, to avoid wasted effort. Each office may have its own sponsorship capacity and preferences.
Use verified sponsorship data to find open roles
Migrate Mate surfaces verified H-1B sponsors so you can filter roles at Squire Patton Boggs by real sponsorship history, saving time you'd otherwise spend chasing firms that don't actively sponsor.
Align your credentials with U.S. bar requirements
For attorney roles at Squire Patton Boggs, H-1B sponsorship typically requires U.S. bar admission or a recognized foreign law degree. Confirming your bar eligibility in the relevant state strengthens your case significantly.

Does Squire Patton Boggs sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Squire Patton Boggs does sponsor H-1B visas, though sponsorship is selective and concentrated in specialized legal roles. The firm operates across dozens of offices and practice groups globally, and sponsorship decisions are typically made at the office and practice group level rather than firm-wide.
Which roles at Squire Patton Boggs typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Squire Patton Boggs is most common for attorneys in specialized practice areas such as corporate transactions, intellectual property, government relations, and international trade. Legal professionals with foreign law credentials or cross-border expertise are particularly well-positioned, as their skills are harder to source domestically and directly support the firm's global client base.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Squire Patton Boggs?
Once an offer is extended, Squire Patton Boggs works with its immigration counsel to prepare and file the H-1B petition on your behalf. You'll need to provide educational credentials, bar admission records, and employment documentation. The firm handles the filing, but you should be prepared to respond quickly to any requests for additional documentation during USCIS review.
How long does the H-1B process take at Squire Patton Boggs?
Standard H-1B processing through USCIS takes several months from the filing date. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year with an October 1 start date, timing your offer and lottery registration is critical. If you're already on another valid status, Squire Patton Boggs's immigration team can advise on whether premium processing or a cap-exempt path applies.
How do I find open H-1B-sponsored positions at Squire Patton Boggs?
The most reliable approach is searching platforms that verify actual sponsorship history rather than relying on job boards where sponsorship status is self-reported or missing entirely. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for confirmed H-1B sponsors like Squire Patton Boggs, so you can focus your application effort on roles where sponsorship is a real possibility rather than an assumption.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Squire Patton Boggs?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
