Target technical and engineering roles
Tarkett's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in specialized technical positions, particularly in materials science, chemical engineering, and product development. Focusing your applications on these functions gives you the best chance of finding sponsored opportunities.
Understand the LCA requirement upfront
Before Tarkett can file your H-1B petition, the company must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from the Department of Labor. Knowing this step exists helps you set realistic expectations when discussing timelines with a recruiter.
Raise sponsorship early in the process
Bring up your H-1B sponsorship need in the first or second conversation with a Tarkett recruiter. Companies in the chemicals and materials space typically need internal approval before extending sponsored offers, so early disclosure avoids late-stage complications.
Use verified sponsorship data to find open roles
Not every Tarkett job posting will mention visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, making it easier to identify which Tarkett roles are realistically open to H-1B candidates.
Align your application to Tarkett's product focus
Tarkett operates in flooring and surface materials, a niche within chemicals and materials. Candidates whose backgrounds align with polymer chemistry, surface coatings, or manufacturing engineering are more likely to qualify for the specialized roles Tarkett sponsors.
Prepare for cap-subject filing deadlines
If you are not currently on an H-1B, Tarkett will need to file during the annual cap season with a registration in March and a potential October 1 start date. Build your job search timeline around these fixed USCIS deadlines.
Tarkett H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Tarkett sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Tarkett sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an active sponsorship program primarily supporting technical and engineering roles within its chemicals and materials operations. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every open position, so it is worth confirming directly with a recruiter whether a specific role is eligible before applying.
Which roles and departments at Tarkett typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Tarkett tends to be concentrated in specialized technical functions, including chemical engineering, materials science, product development, and manufacturing engineering. Roles requiring a degree-specific background in a hard-to-fill specialty are the most common candidates for sponsorship. General business, sales, and administrative positions are less likely to qualify.
How do I apply for a sponsored role at Tarkett?
Start by identifying open roles at Tarkett that match your technical background, then disclose your H-1B sponsorship need early in the recruiter conversation. If the role qualifies, Tarkett's HR team will coordinate with immigration counsel to file a Labor Condition Application and then submit Form I-129 to USCIS on your behalf. Migrate Mate can help you identify which Tarkett postings are realistically open to sponsored candidates.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Tarkett?
The full H-1B process typically spans several months from offer acceptance to an authorized start date. Tarkett must first obtain a certified Labor Condition Application, then file the H-1B petition with USCIS. For cap-subject candidates, the process is tied to the annual lottery cycle, meaning a start date of October 1 at the earliest. Premium processing can reduce the USCIS adjudication window to a few weeks.
What can I do to strengthen my H-1B application at Tarkett?
Focus on roles where your degree field directly corresponds to the job requirements, since H-1B eligibility depends on the position qualifying as a specialty occupation. Demonstrate how your technical background fills a specific need within Tarkett's materials or flooring operations. Having strong documentation of your credentials ready, including transcripts and prior work authorization records, will help Tarkett's immigration counsel move efficiently.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Tarkett?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
