Target software engineering and implementation roles
Tyler Technologies' H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in technical roles, including software development, systems implementation, and product support. Prioritize applying to these departments, where sponsorship is an established part of the hiring process.
Apply well ahead of the April H-1B cap season
Tyler Technologies must submit H-1B registrations by March each year. Engaging with recruiters in January or February gives you time to complete the hiring process before USCIS registration opens, keeping you in contention for that cap year.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm sponsorship history
Before applying, verify that Tyler Technologies has sponsored H-1B roles similar to yours. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship is unlikely.
Demonstrate specialty occupation clearly in your application
USCIS requires that H-1B roles qualify as specialty occupations requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. For Tyler Technologies roles in software and technology, align your resume to the specific technical requirements of the job description.
Connect with Tyler Technologies at university recruiting events
Tyler Technologies actively recruits from university campuses and technology programs. Early engagement through campus recruiting, including OPT and CPT hiring, often creates a direct path to H-1B sponsorship conversations once you receive an offer.
Ask about sponsorship explicitly during the offer stage
Tyler Technologies has the infrastructure to sponsor H-1B visas, but individual hiring managers may not raise it unprompted. Once you have a verbal offer, confirm the company will sponsor your petition before signing anything or resigning from a current role.
Tyler Technologies H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Tyler Technologies sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Tyler Technologies sponsors H-1B visas. The company operates across the technology and software sector and has a consistent history of sponsoring H-1B petitions, particularly for technical roles in software engineering, implementation consulting, and product development. Candidates should confirm sponsorship is available for their specific role during the offer process.
Which roles and departments at Tyler Technologies are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Tyler Technologies is most common in roles that clearly qualify as specialty occupations, including software engineers, developers, implementation consultants, and technical analysts. These positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science or information systems, which aligns with USCIS specialty occupation criteria.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Tyler Technologies?
Once Tyler Technologies extends an offer, the company's HR or immigration team typically works with an outside immigration attorney to prepare your H-1B petition. You'll need to provide academic transcripts, passport details, and your resume. Tyler Technologies files the petition with USCIS, and you do not submit anything directly. Staying responsive to document requests keeps the process on track.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Tyler Technologies that are open to visa sponsorship?
Searching Tyler Technologies' careers page is a starting point, but job postings don't always specify H-1B sponsorship. Migrate Mate lists companies with verified sponsorship histories and lets you filter openings at confirmed H-1B sponsors, which makes it easier to identify roles at Tyler Technologies where sponsorship is realistic for your situation.
What is the timeline for H-1B sponsorship at Tyler Technologies?
The H-1B process follows USCIS's annual cap cycle. Registration opens in March, and if selected in the lottery, Tyler Technologies can file your full petition from April onward, with an employment start date no earlier than October 1. From offer acceptance to an approved H-1B, the process typically spans six to nine months, depending on USCIS processing times and whether premium processing is used.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Tyler Technologies?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
